Some years we have had a Holloween tournament the weekend of the time change to kick off the glow league season at Water Works.

No one had the time or energy to put it together this year.

We play random glow doubles at Water Works every Thursday at 6 all winter.

There is a great doubles league Saturdays Down Under at 12:30 and a winter league in Olathe as well.

Water Works / Water Works league standings 9/8/05
« on: September 23, 2005, 11:34:42 am »
Tops in each division for those with at least 5 weeks play (4 for women as they only recently started joining us Water Works). The scores shown are the average of players best 10 rounds. There have been 20 weeks of scores so far. Four of us have been there for 18 and Mr. Paul Eklund has been there 19 of 20 weeks. He was away at some tournament thing on the shores of Lake Superior the week he missed.

The overall league average for 580 rounds is 56.9.

After looking over the scores, the low round for the year to date appears to be a 41 by Laron (Who did you think) Harris.

As of 9/22 the ace pool is at $494.

Winter Leagues / Water Works Glow... at Swope?
« on: September 10, 2005, 10:48:30 am »
With the time change Glow Doubles League will begin. :c)

Due to issues of later darkness and being at Water Works after 10  (I have personally had two parking tickets there. One of them was at 10:15 and included some harassment and an offer to search my car, which I politely declined leading to further harassment) we have in the past started at a 7ish time on another course for the first month or so. Last year we played Wyco which is open until midnight and is a great glow course. It has been suggested that we try Swope this year as a number of our regular players are in that area.

My only issue is the large ace pool. I would like to see the $ won at Water Works and there is a good chance of it going down at Swope if we open it up there. If we start at Swope I would like to have no ace fund during that period and open it up again once we get back to the Dub W.

FEEDBACK PLEASE...

We are stocked with lights and ready to go!  Lights will be $2 this year as the cost for us to obtain them has gone up.

Is it dark yet!?!?!

I was looking at cards from last night and noticed that Mike Murphy birdied holes 12 - 18. That includes 12 long left, 14 middle, 16 long and 18 up the hill right. Nice Run Mike!
