30 out for a muggy Thursday round. Upper 80s with calm winds. With higher humidity and the lack of breeze the air seemed heavy and thick.

The best round of the evening came from Masters and Billy. He started with five in a row on his way to a 47. Arturo took Open shooting 48. Jitt came in with a nice 56 to lead Advanced and Amando showed to rule the Open Women division.

Mini stats at: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AvgDHo9rqLOtdDN4aEo1UHFSZ1JRMU1JNkxDWGFYYWc#gid=0

BJ won the Dynamic Discs CTP by parking 18 short. He snagged an ESP Nuke.

Thanks for moving pins Jamie!

General Banter / Jesse James Sunday
« on: July 08, 2012, 07:31:37 AM »
I would like to start a regular Sunday gathering at Jesse James DGC in Kearney beginning today. Meet near hole 1 at 5:00. We will try to start the round about 5:30.

It's a pretty quick play so we shouldn't be too late finishing. The track is looking great and ivy has been sprayed.

34 for a hot post-fourth round at Water Works. Nine were attending the Thursday mini for the first time this season. Great to see all the strange faces. That statement applies to many of the regulars as well  ;)

Temp in the upper 90s with breezes under 10.

Arturo saved some fireworks for the day after as he won Open by seven with a sizzling 44. With 11 weeks of play he now has his average under 48. Disc-usting! Dan Quinn took Masters with a hot 51 and Keizer led the Advanced at 59.

Kevin Manning won the Dynamic Discs CTP on hole 1 (short left) by landing a drive inside 10 feet. He chose a Dyemax Z Nuke.

25 for a hot round at the Dub Dub. With low humidity and a nice 5-10 breeze it didn't feel as hot as it sounded. 104 when we started and still upper 90s when we finished.

Arturo led the way with a 49. The heat agreed with me and I managed par in Masters. Sprint took Advanced with a nice 58. Jen Brockman was the only lady to show.

BJ Font snagged an Elite X Nuke courtesy of Dynamic Discs for his CTP on hole 9.

38 on a warm and windy evening at Water Works. Upper 80s with winds of 10-15 gusting 20-25. Quite a few at league for the first time this season. I imagine some were warming up for the Mighty Mo this Saturday.

Slim had the hot round with a 50 in Open. Mark Martin took Masters at even par. Bill Shinoski came in with a nice 56 in Advanced. Amanda shot 63 in Women.

Eric Eastwood took home a Dynamic Discs dyed Ion and a DD mini for the DDCTP prize on hole 9.

Thanks to Jamie for moving baskets!

A near perfect evening for 37 at Water Works. Low 80s with winds under 10.

The hot round came from Masters tonight as Billy came in at 47. Arturo shot 49 to take Open. Five ladies were out and Tavish led the way with a 63. 61 won Am for Jared Shopper. My highlight was definitely the triple circle 10 on hole 16.

Just 21 for club golf on Wide Open Eve at Water Works. Low 60s with 10-15 winds gusting over 20. The breeze slowed some the last part of the round.

As usual before the KCWO many of the locals stayed home to rest and we were joined by a few visitors. Darrin Vlcek, Jared Roan, and Luke Winkelbauer from Colorado, and Jeff Perrigo from Texas are in town for the tournament weekend. Welcome and good luck!

1001 rated Jared easily won Open shooting a nice 49. Billy and Jeff tied at 56 in Masters. Jen and Susan tied in Women.

32 started but only 20 finished on a wild evening at Water Works. It was mid 80s with winds of 15+ and gusts over 25 when we started. By the time we finished it was still breezy and in the low 70s. The rain hit about three quarters of the way into the round and really came down hard for a bit. Quite a few quit with three or four holes to go.

You know it was tough when Arturo was in the 50s and 61 cashed in Open. 57 was enough in Masters for Jamie and Young Tyke Mike. Rob McClary took Advanced with a 62.

A near perfect evening for a crowd of 46 at Water Works Park. Mid 70s with wind of 10 or less. With the casuals on the course as well, play was tournament pace but we moved steadily along and finished with light in the sky.

Arturo led the way shooting 44 with a bogey. Billy went nuts with birdies on six of the first seven holes and finished at 46 in Masters. Jen Brockman shot 70 in Women, Matt Crowe had a nice 54 to take Advanced, and Lucky wins again in Intermediate.

Averages are at: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AvgDHo9rqLOtdDN4aEo1UHFSZ1JRMU1JNkxDWGFYYWc#gid=0

Both Shane Caylor and Nick Arbiteman hits chains on 11 but Rodney Beagle won the Dynamic Discs CTP when he put his drive right on the pole. He added a Z Buzzz SS to his bag.

Jamie Danger got out of work at the last minute and played in his work clothes, complete with black tie and shoes. When we ran into him on the course he proudly stated "I'm overdressed and under par".

Great to see the faces we hadn't seen since last year!
