General Banter / League TD's
« on: March 05, 2012, 12:09:54 PM »
Looks like Daylight savings begins Sunday March 11th. Dynamic Discs is donating a disc a week to each league. I just need the TD of each league to stop by the shop and sign them out for the month of March.
The TD will decide how the player can win one. Thanks, Pete

General Banter / New Dynamic Discs Store
« on: January 27, 2012, 05:46:55 PM »
Hello everyone its Pete Cashen and I would like to clarify all of the rumors. I would like to announce the New Dynamic Discs Store coming to Kansas City! The Store will be located behind Oklahoma Joes in the Strip Mall to the East. The physical address is 2854 W 47th KCK 66103.
We will have a Grand Opening on March 9th and then the next weekend the KCFDC and Dynamic Discs will put on the Kan-U- Wyco. Dynamic Discs will be running at least 10 events in the metro area this year. The list is being put together now and we will release it soon. This will benefit the club through revunue generated. Dynamic Discs and your new local store will be donating a disc every week to every league this year for a give away.
There are several club members involved in the store Jeremy Rusco a club member, Scott Reek ( a 10 year club member), Ted Kieth and Myself.
We have been waiting to Offcially announce to make sure all the lease agreements are in order.
Thank You for your support and we look forward to seeing you at the club events and in the store!

General Banter / DownUnder
« on: April 29, 2011, 08:35:30 PM »
Hey everyone that plays Rosedale and Downunder we need some help cleaning up the DU course. The next time you play one of these courses in the next week please adopt a hole and bring a trash bag with you and just get as much as you can haul out of there. It doesn't have to be done all at once but a bunch of people will put a dent in it. Lets show the masses what the club can do when we put our minds and back into it. I will be there this weekend and will get the two hardest holes to get to. Please drop the bags by a barrel up top and the Parks will get them from there.
Thanks for the effort KC!

Swope / Dans Dog Salomon
« on: March 19, 2010, 04:18:48 PM »

Dan Cashen's oldest dog Salomon has died today. If any one has played Swope Park or Blue Vally disc golf courses in the past 14 + years you have seen the dog out with Dan. This dog and getting him out to run the park has given Dan the opportunity to work at Swope and Blue Valley for countless hours and untold monies spent out of pocket that we will never know the final total. Salomon is just as responsible as a volunteer helping Dan at the course and keeping him going. When you work at the courses and your by yourself with your Dog you don't mind staying and finishing up what you started that day. And when your following the dog through the Park you come up with Ideas for the course or the new holes that lay in the brush. The dogs are like family to those of us that don't have children and you lose one to old age it hurts as you all know.
So next time you see Dan or Colleen remember their dog.
Thanks, Pete

Cliff Drive / Cliff drive hole one
« on: March 15, 2009, 08:34:24 PM »
Played Cliff Drive today and like what you did on several of the holes. A couple of things I would change to make the park safer for all playing, Hole One  pull the form back at least 6' to 8' feet off of the railroad ties that are set up. This should leave it half on and half off. This is a big hole and you need to leave the player some follow through. Even though you designers might not follow through there are plenty that do. The ties will still give you what you wanted a cool tee. There is no comparing this hole to any other in KC. It is a big drive to get out there. Hole 13 did you consider moving the tee under the tree by the street and trimming the branches up, a bench on one side and the tee on the other? Then this brings into play about 600' of OB on the street much like 12 only the opposite side of the road. Hole 17 was fun and long.

General Banter / message board
« on: March 07, 2005, 06:05:56 PM »
Is the message board running good now? I think we should switch to this forum for our club business and dump topica. Lets move the traffic to our site. What does every one think? Seems to me we have a split going on in the cyber world and in order to bring the club members togather we should start by bringing them here to chat.      pete
