Loomis, I enjoy your editorials on other tourneys, so I was curious to hear your opinion of the Open. I couldn't agree more.  Everyone involved should be proud.

Thank you organizers, course captains, volunteers, players, and everyone else involved!!!

I know Timko's work was continuing through Sunday in our final round at Blue Valley.

There will be at least two mixed double teams tomorrow.  Eric and I with Resa and Bianca.

Timko, what time were you planning on Sunday?  I should be able to make it out there early in the morning if that works.  0800.

Palmer, if there were a line on the tourney, I would probably be at 10,000 to 1, but I'm going to give it my best shot and appreciate the encouragement.  My money right now would be on Adam or Jordan, if healthy, making a good run at the title.

I hope you are volunteering or your the registration just hasn't been updated to show that you are playing.

Jack, thanks for the link to the article, good stuff.  I might post that link in dgcourse review with some of Rick's info as well.  I'm definitely looking forward to the event and hope more and more jump on board in the next couple of weeks.

An NT, Youngs and BV included in the course lineup, nice players pack, and everything else...can't wait.

I think we only moved about 6 of them and a large majority have to be moved to get the numbering right with the holes to the north.  I think I heard Timko say something about getting a Gator to help with that effort.  Jack helped with the basket relocation too.

It was nice to be able to play the new pin placements in league, like 13 long, 14 long pad to 15 peninsula.

Not sure when the pins will be getting moved, but wanted to volunteer my time from 5 to before league to help move whatever pins need to for the WO.

I have not been around disc golf that long and may be missing something here, but why did the event in Emporia in April have 400ish people signed up 2 weeks before the event and we have an NT yet are only at 150ish for the 30th Wide Open?

The biggest difference seems to me to be the intermediate level, where Emporia had well over 100 and we are at 15ish.  The argument that the 3 rounds hurts the draw seems poor since ALL of Emporia's levels only played 3 rounds.

Is it normal to have a late surge of sign-ups for the open?  I hope so, because I would like this to be a BIG event.

Dan, I like the idea.  There is a good chance we will be there again on Friday.

Jordan, I think Dan was making that rule for the mixed doubles only.  Although, I wonder if you made the doubles a Pro/Am like Jake was suggesting if you would make a similar rule for the men's cards.

I heard there might be a few good highlights from the playoff last night.

Highlights from our card was Joe's 40 foot downhill birdie on 12, Jordan/Joe birdies on 4,8,17, and Kevin's putt from 25 ft that went over and through the tree for par on 18 long.

Best user name I've seen.

For once, I agree with Palmer!  Legacy or PHill doubles has been great for me being a beginner. Sometimes I've been paired with Jose or Jake and they carry me around the course and cash.  Every time I learn and have a fun time.

If you are just learning and playing with Cro, realize that throwing a Leopard 500 ft like Matt is not normal.

Young Park - Blue Springs / KC Wide Open Pin Settings

I am planning on getting some practice in at Young Friday and may not make it out there again before the Open.  Have the pin positions been chose for the Open and if so can someone post them here?  I would guess something similar to the Eastern Front last year, but maybe somebody can enlighten me.  Thanks!

That was awesome.  DD ran a great tourney from top to bottom.  The highlight for me was watching the top card on 12 at Jones, unbelievable what those guys can do.
