How did you guys fair in Marshall? Did you get all 36 holes in? Is the course in good shape?

Does it have all the pins in?  Last time I played, they were missing 2 or 3 pins.  One had been uprooted.

I hope to have both courses set and published by this weekend

Please let us know when the courses are set for the tourney.  I know most locations at WW, but I don't play Rosie enough to know distances for all pin locations.  I'll need to get out there before the tourney to practice a time or two.

Thanks

I'm not sure if anyone saw this or not, but Matt Perry came in third in the distance competition at AM Worlds.  He threw 549 feet!  Surely he had a tailwind!!!  8)

I kid!!! Well done Matt!!!

Quite frankly I wish this thread would go away.  It's like getting poison ivy out on the course.  You would so dearly love for it to stop itching, but the itch WON'T STOP.

I agree that there isn't much point for this thread to continue. Jack has made his position pretty clear: there is no need to have a discussion about the club members' consensus regarding the best baskets, teepads, or any other feature of a course. Why? Because we aren't the ones designing the courses or working with the P&R departments, so our voices will not be heard. Jack, through his years of tireless and generous service, has earned the right to make these decisions without the blessing of the BoD, or even less significantly, a bunch of yahoos on their keyboards. So everyone, please just shut up and let Jack carry on with the business of running Kansas City Disc Golf.

The above comments are not in line with the intent of my post - just so we're clear.

Bottom line is, if you want something to change, do something about it.  Go to a club meeting and bring up the topic.  This forum is just that, a forum.  Posting here will not get you anywhere.  If there are things that you do not agree with or if there are items that you want clarification on, ask the board of directors.  This ball (if there is indeed a ball and not just pointless ranting) won't get rolling unless you bring it up somewhere aside from here.

So question, is there a new course being put in or is this a purely hypothetical conversation IF and WHEN we get a new course?I will again refer to my earlier comment that there's no need to replace current baskets.  There are a LOT of other things we could spend money on in our courses.  None of our courses need new baskets that bad.

I like to compete, but I also like cash.  If you're a 1000 rated player and still playing advanced, you either have enough money that it doesn't matter, or you just want to have mounds and mounds of plastic.  I guess we will never all think alike so it is irrelevant.

However, seeing as how I haven't managed to cash in open yet (have only played a handful of open tourneys), I do plan to play in the MAC.  I'm ONLY playing it because I haven't cashed in open yet (therefore making me eligible) and I'm not at 100% yet either after breaking my leg.  Don't worry, I won't be in advanced long...

Jon lost a KCFDC mini of mine at swope last Thursday.  It was neon yellow with black KCFDC stamp.
