Please thank anyone listed on the sponsor sheet for their contribution and support and any of the volunteers for their time and service to making this event run smooth.

I noticed tons of Open players out there helping spot and caddy for some players. Really nice to see them give back to the Advanced guys!
Completely agree. I know there are plenty of things to do over a weekend and to show up and volunteer was great to see.

And thanks to Ian for filming the lead card.  Can't wait to see the action!

The predictions were fun and not very good.  I cursed Sam :) and might have motivated Peter, other than that, I think I should just stick to throwing plastic.

I told Ian he could just cut me out of the video aside from my
putt on hole 2. What a rough round, haha. Thanks for filming Ian and congrats to Frank on the win -putting machine!!!

Bump. ;) keep the $20. My bro didnt win, but I think he'll move up in the next year or so. Until then, I think he can play in the division he feels most comfortable playing in. Great tourney DD. Had a blast! I'm sure it'll be bigger and better next year!!!

Watching your brother throw makes me wanna turn 40 ASAP.  Hopefully by the time I do(2016), pdga will have intermediate masters so I can skull Palmer. :P

Best KC DD tournament to date. Props to all that made it happen.

If my $$ no good for you, then maybe I can donate it to Tree Love Classic??

Deal! Cliff needs it, too many trees lost.

Look man, I was just defending my brother on a comment that made no sense.  I should've just let it go, but until he wins an intermediate tournament, I don't see any reason why he needs to move up if he doesn't feel comfortable doing so - just my opinion.  The PDGA doens't even recommend that a player move to advanced until 935.  J has stayed out of the discussion, so I commend him for that.  He made his defense and left it at that.  I'm just pointing out the facts; but evidently I get a little too defensive at times on this forum.

I'm not sure who you're pointing the wager at, but feel free to throw it my way if you'd like.

Cool.  $20 and I want 10 strokes. I'd fight you, Ian but my Mom won't let me hit a guy with glasses

WW - I don't know Jack, some of us may want to attempt the uphill turnover on 6 if our play deems it necessary/possible.  It's not "inconeivable."  Also, rollers that get away on 12 may be a good place for a spotter.  Once it gets over the hill it's hard telling where it would end up.  I would say a spotter on 17 as well to mark where it went OB would be good.  Surely there will be players going OB on that hole.

Rosey - several holes get nasty if you turn it over (or hyzer early for lefty).  I guess spotters will be placed depending on how many show up.

Agree with Jack, thanks in advance for those that do!

Sorry, I didn't clarify on my players package question.  I know the contents were up in the air originally.  I was just wondering what exactly was included - but at this point I can just find out tomorrow when I pick it up if you don't want to write it all out, ha!

Scott, was the players package ever finalized?  Also, what will happen if t-storms kick up?  Will the event be postponed in the event that the rain doesn't subside?

Small tournout for league last night.  Brandon Elkins ran it, but I don't believe he gets on the forum.  There were three in each division (Advanced, Masters, Open).  I can't speak for the other three divisions, but I believe our card was as follows:

Jordan - 51
Brandon - 60
Kelly - low 60's?

I'm bummed that not more people show up to this league.  The course is in great shape, the pins are set pretty normal, and we finish well before dark.  Shot of the night would've been Brandon's 100+ foot throw in on 15, but the Mach V spit low right like usual!  I presume league will start at 6:00 again next week; not sure when they move em back to 5:30.

Presume we're still good with a 6:00 start tonight?  Not sure that I'll make it out, but want to make sure start time is as normal if I'm able to join.

Thanks

Ha, in all honesty I'd just like to drop it.  I may have misinterpreted Jeff's original post.  I wasn't trying to instigate an argument, I was simply making a defense to a comment I didn't agree with.  My bad.

Bag Tags / Re: 2012 bag tag ideas
« on: July 31, 2013, 12:55:01 PM »
I got my groomsmen personalized bottle openers that were in the shape of a credit card.  This is the perfect size for a bag tag, but I am sad to report that they were at a minimum $10 a piece.  I don't think the club typically spends that much on each tag, but I may be wrong.

Funny also how the instigator of this discussion has won an intermediate tournament this year.  And YET, is still playing intermediate.  Talk about a general rule of thumb.  In Tank's words " MOVE UP "
