Liberty, MO - Stocksdale Park / Re: * 2015 LEAGUE *
« on: March 03, 2015, 10:50:24 am »
I guess it boils down to whether or not Blue Springs/Lee's Summit leagues are happening.  Those are the closest two immediate courses and I would assume you wouldn't want to pull from that.  Quite honestly though, I will play Liberty league before either of the others so I'm good with either.

It won't matter how it came together if we win.  If we lose we hear you mock us for another year.  If you lose we mock you for a year.  And so the fun continues.

It all boils down to the fact that people will play where they want to play regardless of how many leagues are on a given night and they will likely go to where there is a large number of weekly attendants.  I was at one time going to be the league guy at Liberty and I was looking at Mondays as well simply because I didn't want to take away from Blue Springs which was right down the road on Wednesdays and struggling with turnout.  I am a semi-consistent Cliff league player, but it is what it is.  Liberty is closer to home for me and I'm of the opinion that if someone steps up to run league then they can choose whatever night they want to put it on.  Not sure why it even needs to be board approved.

I thought Jordan was going to run Bad Rock but I could take a whack at it. maybe on Fridays???? or wednesdays

I've got some other items that I need to work on that are keeping me away from committing to a weekly league.  I will do my best to be out there when I can so let me know if you need help every now and again and I'll try to be there.  I also have keys so if they need to be moved I can either move baskets or let the city know we'd like them moved.

Anybody going to make it out before the tourney to shovel teepads?  SMP is quite the hike for me or I would do it myself.  It would be MUCH appreciated!!!

I prefer the Chalky Wizards myself.  The Wizard is also all that I throw from them, but those suckers catch...when I hit metal that is :)

hit a birthday ace this morning on hole 4 at Bad Rock Creek, during FTL on a straight line max weight trophy Suspect. it's a little heavier now with all that chain residue and signatures. Witnessed by Harold, the general and Zinc. 203 George Washingtons will decide on the beers!

That's an awesome ace, let's see if you can do it in the summer when the trees grow in!!!

Agree with Eric.  Just schedule it and we'll do our best to be there.  June just tends to be a very busy month.  Weeknights would always be easier for me than eating up a weekend, so I think Joe may have a good idea.  Although, I do know 5:00 will be tough for most.  I get off work at 4:30, but many don't.

That guy has no fewer than five ROCS in his bag at any time :)

And it shouldn't be any other way.

Not sure who is throwing in the towel exactly.  The BEast side will be bringing it all square against the LOWest side this year.

As with all events it is hard to pick a day that works for everyone. We plan a date and we do it.

As for the Wide Open, there will be some work being done on the courses. I don't think the EvsW really is going to get in the way that much. I would just roll with it.

Just a thought here but why is it every year the East side players have something to whine about. I think we should add the "No Wimps No Whiners" tagline to this event to help curb some of that...

I'll do my best to play it again this year.  I've been out the last two years, once due to injury and the other due to conflict.  I'm 1 for 1 on championships and plan to help the East side bring it back this year if I can.  Also, it's not whining.  It's stating the fact that two of the players who could definitely contribute to the East side have been out the last couple years.  Time to even up the score.  C'mon Eric, find a way!  Tired of this crap, even if we do have to have a Gayhawker lead us to victory.

I tend to agree with Eric.  This is usually a problem for me as well.  Shouldn't we be focusing on getting our courses ready for the Wide Open this close to the tournament anyway instead of playing?

Not sure how the tournament thing works, 1st timer here.   Does the card you play with/on stay the same through both rounds?   (with this event or others?)

The first round is done at random and the second round will be done based on scores from the previous round.  So to answer your question, yes and no.  If you all shoot the same score you might be on the same card again but chances are that the cards will change from round to round.

I'll bust out a Vector on occasion.  I know I was crazy about it at first...but then I realized why I liked it so flew like a roc!!  However, at the end of its flight it had more fade than I liked.
