Tournaments / Re: KC Metro vs Iowa Challenge?
« on: February 25, 2015, 09:11:03 am »
I attempted to get the "movers and shakers" for the following areas in a team format-
KC-MO side
KC-KS Side
KS-Lawrence/Manhattan/etc area
KS-Wichita?-figured it may be too far...but....
MO-Columbia area
MO-St. Louis Area
IA/NE-Council Bluffs/Omaha/etc
IA-Middle-Des Moines
IA-East

Then have a tourney in Lamoni.....it didn't garner as much as I would have likened it.

Des Moines/IA already has a team championship and I ran into then drinking at wall of beers (El Bait Shop) and loved the concept....worked on it a few times, no traction left it alone.  I may have gone to far in the request to get the support, but was thinking essentially 8 person teams based on a composite ratings cap....

Again nothing moved the needle enough for me to feel like it would work.  A few folks liked it but nothing materialized.

Folks there are many great courses to the North, and many good people running them.  This will be updated as they come along as well!!

I wonder if its alternating holea Jack? Let's keep it simple. One rd, one way. Another rd, another way. And leave it as so.

That's why I was asking there Doug, but since Scott is on his way to AZ.....  >:( :( :P :'(

I don't expect an immediate answer!
 ;D

Far from a tourney....but we claim to have winners....more of a birthday party for all the Leo's.  Hence the name.  Dick Parker came to the planet a few years after me on the same day....on top of that there are MANY individuals in the disc golf scene that are Leo's.  So we throw a party at Cliff Drive, which also happens to be a Leo yearly.

See it's not a tourney....  ;D

Jack. You've been to more than 2.    Lol.  And you are correct that the drive is OFF LIMITS

Probably check that box on the Kangaroo marks and see I have been to more than 2....

I don't know what it will do for the sport.  I think that the LDO does a great job of promoting the sport, giving back to the players, to the park, and the community as a whole.  That is my take on the LDO.

Hopefully this week the announcement of the team captain for the EAST SIDE will be completed.  My suggestion went to the previous captains for them to decide on the best choice to carry us forward.
