Bob,

Are there plenty-o-spots left?  I had heard about a few people heading down there, that I know have not yet registered.  I will be in MN leaving early Friday, and as with all events, I am sure that you are busy, but if you check here you may want to let us know....I could not see a running total on the PDGA site,

Hard nosed touring players.........like myself....that is FUNNY.  Watch as I try to prevent myself from finishing last place this weekend, I am hoping for a few DNF's to ensure that!
:)

Is that a good plan or what?

I will have to watch my littlest one on the 16th so.....that will be my reasoning for not playing.  Hopefully the rain will stay away this year for you.

If you are reading this, come on out to Swope, channel 41 is doing a live remote about disc golf and we want players out there.  I was hopeful that there would be more response, but get out there NOW, and turn your tv to channel 41 from 10-11.

Thanks,

Jack

« on: May 24, 2007, 04:25:34 PM »
I need to have about 20 people to come out to Swope for a project that I am working on from 9-11 am.  I need to talk with you prior to coming out, so if interested in coming, please call me directly at 913.485.5123 for further explanation.  This is not a work day ploy.

That is actually a temp pad at best, the first hole will actually be down in the gulley you will be throwing out of it.  I hope to get out there over the next few weeks, though I am playing a lot more tourneys so I don't have time to make it happen.....so prolly after the Wide Open....  Right now, just throw in front of the pad.

General Banter / Re: Have any parks been mown yet?
« on: May 17, 2007, 10:54:34 AM »
WRONG
MO parks are mowed every 14 days, the rain lately has delayed that in some cases, but overall the KCMO P&R and contractors have done a fine job.  ON the big events, we may request that they delay a cycle in order to accomodate the mowing schedule.  So you must have hit it on the most recent long streak....Sorry bout your luck.

If they have no intentions of putting one in why worry about it?  There are plenty of places with courses going in, just because one is not "in your backyard" does not mean that you should push an item that may alienate the P&R from future usage.  I would suggext talking with me about it prior to going forward.  I have worked on the development of 4 courses in the area, and talked with people from Lees Summit and Harrisonville about courses.

I understand the desire to use land that you feel may be great, but there is quite a bit of history with the club members and who has heard what, and talked with who, it would make you more informed in any case.
