Prairie Center / Re: first league of summer

he can't the grass is to short, someone from the P&R there would come out and yell at them for hurting the grass..... ;D

We try not to have that problem in other parts of the town....but then thats what happens when you have too many people pushing to get things done..... ;)

We can discuss, but I just got off teh phone, and plan on loading up the #1 with rock.  They were having a hard time trying to figure out how to get to #6, I think I got them up there ok now.
750 Prairie Tan will be the color of the pads

Its really gonna happen.....I am just awe struck in all honesty.  You guys really have no idea how proud I am of all the people that have helped with this course.  Some are no longer with us, actually quite a few people that helped out have left the planet.  Some are just not here in the area, and some well.....some we are all probably better off for not having them around, though they too have helped to make it what it is.

I want to have the 1st T-Pad open at Cliff on Sunday at 10:00 sign up, and then tee off ~10:30 or 11:00.  One round $10.  I will probably have it as a single round, and then if people wanna play doubles afterwards or something we can.  It'll be pretty loosey/goosey for sure.

Water, tee pads, new baskets, then we have tee signs and flags left before the worlds, and we will be pretending like this is a real course.....

I don't think so, as they run their league without the Club for all but 1 a month I believe, if they had the club league yesterday then yeah they got it.....

Cliff Drive / Last league withoutpads, first league of summer 2009

we are going to try to beat them out at Olathe with teeing off first to have the first league of Summer......but who knows.....hopefully this is the last league without tee pads at cliff, so for you nostalgic types, come bring your water and lets play from the rock and earth.

That'd be tough to get done, if P&R have a plan, then we could......I have sent notes about this to them quite some time.

You got a mini basket?  can we use it during the world's?  Host hotel, Field events, and flymart, and pubcrawl possibly.....let me, Chappy or Dick know if you can help out.

I want to try and harvest them from the park.  THe road around 3 (think climbers side) had a landslide a few years back, and there are quite a few big rocks there if we can get those out, it helps the park and helps us as well.

I don't even like posting information about this right now, I am so scared it won't happen.....but getting a call Saturday morning from Lou, and then you following up saying there working on it Saturday as well....welll........thinking it might be here now.

I got a call from the P&R about them starting to pour 10 pads on Tuesday, and to finish the remainder over the week.  I am very hopeful that this happens, looks like no rain is in the forecast either.  Should be a good week.  Once the pads are in, I'll work on getting the rocks in for tee signs, we will not have a marquee up before world's, but the course should be pretty visible for most people playing.

General Banter / Re: New Disc Golf Course in Blue Springs? Young Park

Lets take it off line, and send you back to math school......$1000/18=$55.5555555555555555555556

We can alter the signage possibly to make it more vandal deterrent.  As for the Rules Sign, I know we have verbiage to make ti work, but it would require a KIOSK, and probably having them build that, with a map and rules on one side, and then notifications and information that is easily manipulated on the other would probably be a good thing to discuss.

I'd suggest Tracy and Dick for the signs especially since it will be after the worlds.  They can probably do it relatively inexpensive.....(they'd have to quote you a price, but I bet an 18 hole course can be done for about a $1000 with the ability to alter and update signs easily with minimal cost, sponsors, etc....)

JLS is moer of a Valk for sure.  I gtos a 1st run Leopard and Eagle, I really liked that Eagle initially, but it is different now.

I might concur on the Leopard with Chappy.  The Valk just moves more than the XL for me personally, but then I am a weenie arm.

Stokely had it with the XL, I little over 600 I believe.  I think that he set it 2x, and then Voigt did it with an XS (never could get that disc as well as I liked), before Christian's 800+ Bomber that is in the last decade we have other people that are throwing discs 25% with the new plastic out there, who is going to break 900' in the air, then 1000'......will anyone touch the roller record?  Its like 3500'

they have, most of what he has that he is selling is stuff that is over 1 year old at the store.
