Cliff Drive / Re: League tonight?
« on: September 22, 2008, 02:56:26 pm »
I have to work late, so I may not be able to make the league......t is going to get harder for me to make it, and I need to find someone that can ensure that they are there to make it happen.  I will come by after I get off, as I need to pull all the tee signs from the park.

It has to be some type of error with under par scores, because initially Arturo was the only one messed up, and he would have been under par in a standard 108 scoring, but no one else would have.  Once i altered the par, it sent all the under par folks out of line.....It has to be an PDGA issue, because it is fine on my end.

I am guessing the QLS is Morales, did you find my CE Valk that I lost by #7 about 2 years ago yet?

Keep on looking, I will give you some great things for that one......spent 4 days and about 7 hours looking for it.......at my rate of pay, I should have gone to ebay to replace it.....

I thought that too Dick, but it is the First Private Park to hold a charity only event....

We also have more than 10 courses locally.....
Rosedale
Swope
Olathe
Down Under
Water Works
California Trail Jr. High
WyCo
Cliff Drive
Blue Valley
Blue Valley Executive
Yates
Pleasant Hill
Shawnee Mission
Parkville
(Thornfield......I Guess......)

Upcoming we have:
Lees Summit
Lake Lenexa
Blue Springs
Hidden Valley
Ozanam
Old Pike Country Club

All of those but Hidden Valley are approved.  Hidden Valley should start to take place after the pads at Cliff are in.

General Banter / Re: where to play after work?
« on: September 17, 2008, 02:04:00 pm »
Cliff Drive is not a bad place in the that side of the city.....statistically speaking Westport has a much higher crime rate, but to each their own.  It is often patrolled with police, and in general pretty safe to play.  You have to be cognizant of the environment, but that is with any public park that you go to.  Waterworks is not as sparsely populated as some may lead you to believe, it has quite the foot traffic as well, though surely not as much as Rosedale.

What ever choice you make, playing all the courses and having fun is the most important thing to remember. :D
