Smaller communities are easier to work with Brian, give yourself time.  Realize that LS has been in the "process" for over 10 years now, they have the baskets purchased, which means that they will have a course soon!!

The course will be set on the Saturday before the event.

Sometimes its nice to have courses ready, and sometimes you alter them for tournament play.  In the case of the City of Fountains as a "C" Tier it is not required to have the set up 24-48 hours in advance as it is for "A" Tiers and up.

I hope to get out there on Sunday this weekend to map it out, and do some work.

David is now our highest rated player at 1010 and Arturo has finally broken in to the big leagues with his I believe FIRST 1000 rating.

A little vague on this, what course, what hole?

Love to have people adopt a hole.  If we could have everyone adopt a hole on every course, this would be awesome.....

$102.00 in total....$6 per week...$5 goes to the weekly prize, and $1 goes
to the overall prize.

I would prefer to get the entire season paid up front, as it makes my life

/quote: Install framed wood chip boxes in front of every tee.

Sounds ok, but extremely expensive.

/quote: Tees - several at Rosedale need to be resurfaced (i.e. hole 1).

ABSOLUTLEY NOT.  The pad is there for a reason, we are not changing the rules of the game.  All of the tee pads at Rosedale were redone within the last 5 years, why would they need to be redone?

Cliff Drive / Adopt a hole-looking for you to help
« on: August 27, 2008, 01:39:07 pm »
I am looking for people to adopt a hole or 2.  You would be helpful in getting things ready to put pads in, and making it more accesible for mowers to keep clean.  We are starting to make great strides there, pads are going in soon (I want them sooner than you trust me).

Looking for people to help with the following holes/fairways.
#1-clean the area from the new teeing area to the old teeing area.  Then starting to work on the alternate pin settings which ties into
#2, clean out area to walk to pad from new pin areas, and down along hillside to make more manageable and possibly mow worthy down to fairway existing.  Would like to clear out all honeysuckle up to road.
#3, clean up the cliff side all the way to the top..
#4 keep it cleaned up, start heading NW from lower fairway to clean up for errant shots, possible LONG placement in woods to North of existing long placement.
#5 grow grass, and clean up top area.  WOuld like to have another pin on the North end where (those of you remember the troubled bridge) we used to tee from.
#6 Maintenance, hillside to the West clean it up and make accessible to mowers.
#7 Clean the hillside from the existing pin, clean out deeper to create a longer shot, keep the cliffs clear, and able to use.
#8 clean up the area off the pad to the "stage"
#9 clean up the area that Brandt did that no one has touched since.  Work on a longer setting in the woods about 50' away from the existing pin, but very technical.

That would get us started.  Looking for about 20  people, figure it takes 2 people per hole and I will help where I can.

Let me know what hole is yours!!
