Every year it is brought up again and again.  This is the one pro/elite event we have in KC that is for the best KC golfers to compete against each other.  We have an over abundance of events catered to Ams.  It means something to earn a spot on these teams.  If you want an AM challenge of match-play, build it and I guarantee they will come.  Make it a maximum rating event.

Noice!

Also, I have asked Lee about feeding people, but it is not a for sure yet.  He may just decide to feed Kansas :o
Jk, but he may decide he doesn't have time.  In that case, we could still have some Jimmy Johns delivered for about $5 a person I bet.

It would be nice to have all the tshirt orders sooner rather than later. Shirt take a minimum of 2 weeks. That's without having issues.

I told him 6/7/17 as date for shirt order.  12 days from now.

Keep an eye out for Michael Kruger league posts for tonight at Swope.  Chance of rain out.
If league goes as planned, I will be there to check attendance, throw, and decide how many spots to give out (0-1 woman, 0-2 men, all based on who shows).

This sounds good to me, glad to hear there's a more female friendly ratio this year ;-) this said, I would also like to vote for the diva spring feva as a possible qualifying event for the ladies... just a thought :-)

I will let the ladies that want to qualify for the team challenge decide the best way to battle it out.  If Deeva feeva works the best, as it did last year, than that is fine.

KC Team Challenge will take place on June 24th-25th this year.
Saturday 24th - West side hosts Best shot doubles (course TBD)
Sunday 25th - East hosts Alt shot doubles & Singles (course/s TBD)

Most likely this year there will be 16 Men & 2 Women on the team, with 4 Alternates of either sex.  18 total Qualified players and 4 Captain's Picks

First 2 West side qualifiers
Top 2 scores from
Kan-U-Wyco  &
Top 2 scores from
Rosedale Open

As Spring leagues get going I will announce a variety of other Qualifiers. But keep in mind the KCWO will definitely be another Qualifier, and not certain yet, but most likely the Women's Disc golf Weekend/event will be the Women's Qualifier.

More details to come as the days get longer.

I think it would be only fair to let each side choose their "away" jersey color. Since I choose each sides colors the first year. Yes, it was me. Sorry bout that. The caveat would be that we need to decide early enough for the printers to get the shirts in stock.

I vote purple for West side Away jersey's than!!!!!!

*then.. Damn K-State grads.

Damn it!  Dick!

So Eric Eastwood has thrown in to be Captain of the East Side this year, and I am willing to continue to lead the West to victory again, as long as there are no objections.

Eastwood and I will work well together to solve any problems and come up with a plan early this year, so everyone knows the format, courses, qualifiers, shirts ordered, times, etc.
We also talked about having home and away jerseys this year, so Missouri doesn't have to wear their hot black shirts both days.  So be prepared to spend $40 on shirts this year, unless you have one, than it will only be $20.
Missouri's second color will be a White or Gray, and Kansas will take vice versa.

And do not fret ladies, if there is enough interest on both sides of the line this year(at least 4 competing ladies on each side)(so start recruiting), we will add 2 spots to each team, making 16 men spots, 2 women, plus 1 alternate woman, and 4 Alternate Captain's picks.

Discuss, and if there are no objections we will start working on setting some dates for qualifiers.
