Liberty, MO - Stocksdale Park / Re: Liberty, MO.
« on: February 11, 2013, 10:08:16 AM »
I spoke with the Liberty Parks Manager about the course and he was able to provide a little more information on the course. They don't have a lot of money for a course designer, so they're looking to meet with anyone interested in providing feedback on the course. I believe he's contacted Theiss for some guidance. If all 18 holes are sponsored than they plan to break ground in May.

Here is an aerial view of the current mock up. There are flags on each hole currently if anyone wants to go over there and check it out. It looks to be a pretty open course, but they're just working with what space they have.

I'll be throwing my first real round since August this Saturday! Everyone needs a tolerance break once in awhile, right?

This disc went to a good home long ago.

It was a 168g Green 4x Valk with a red stamp by the way.

Hmm, this post originated November of 2011. Also Ian has dropped off the face of the planet. I wish both of you well!

Hello!

Ha, I was watching the live scoring and saw the 7 on a par 3 and become sad.  :-[

Glad you enjoyed the trip! Can't wait to see the 2012 video! Probably won't be released until 2015 though... ha

It was actually a pretty drama filled event. Tajima came back in his all new electric car in hopes of dominating the mountain and to break his previous record but an electrical fire a mile from the start crushed those hopes. First timer Romain from France broke Tajimas record from last year which was shortly followed by Millen's .02 faster of a time to take become the newest record holder. Our 3x Modified Quad rider took his 4th title by 14 seconds or so.

That's pretty cool man. One of our sponsored riders (#229) is a 4x French flat track champion. You can always pick out the flat track guys in the pictures by how they throw the back end around unlike a street bike rider. As for the road, this was the first year the entire track has been paved. Pretty much every record was broken this year in each class because of it. Next year should bring tons of competition and media. It will most likely be a 2-day event.

Cameron Colglazier has been killing it lately. The kid is young as hell and has only been playing for about 3 years now.

I've played with Aaron Walther a few different times now and he's a pretty nice guy. He is at the upper level of the AM division indeed, but in a lot of other cities there are many people at his same level. Keep in mind Am Nats was going on the week after the KCWO which stops a lot of very talented AM players from trekking to KC for the tournament which meant an easier field. He mentioned after this year he will be moving up to Open. He can have an 980 rating and still play in AM until he decides to make the switch or cashes in Open.

It's a pretty good spot to watch from. We were right in the middle of the turn with crew passes taking pictures and videos of our 8 sponsored riders. Spent a total of 19 hours on the mountain total I think. It's crazy how it can be so warm and then it will start raining then eventually start sleeting and snowing on you before it goes back to being sunny.

Jack, can you have some bags for me at Swope league on Tuesday? Not sure if you plan on attending, but I'm sure someone you know will that can hand them off to me. I bought some 55 gallon ones last week and only have 2 left. Thanks!
