no offense, but you don't need to post the exact same message three times in three different forums..

pretty sure the fee is because the course is in a state park and everyone coming into the park in general pays the fee

I think the wife and I will be going into St. Louis next week for these two C-tiers.  Anyone else planning on going?  The wife is really on the fence about playing; she doesn't want to be the only rec woman.

I thought I read that the entry fees last year were somewhere from $50-75.

Don't sweat being terrible; I've also played for less than a year.  I'll play intermediate and have a lot of fun!

pretty fired up for this..

my 30th birthday is the weekend of the tournament, no better disc golf birthday present than that; now if my wife would only pay my entry fees

General Banter / William Yates Elementary Course
« on: October 24, 2006, 07:50:50 PM »
just played this with the wife for the 1st time tonight...

quite a fun little course...kinda reminds me of a mini-Cliff Drive, half woodsy, half open..

some nice little wooded holes; though most of the holes are super short, if you're creative, you can find some interesting shots by creating your own alternative tee boxes....

kudos to john theiss and all the volunteers that made this course happen; it's a great place to work on your short game

General Banter / New park in Lees Summit in planning stages for disc golf
« on: October 18, 2006, 09:19:46 PM »
the park you're asking about is called pottberg park...it's a part of blue springs lake actually, just west of 291, across from lakewood

legacy would be great for a disc course though wouldn't it? i live in lee's summit too; that park is huge.

if you call the city you'll be put on an interest list of people that will be involved w/ the planning..

i believe they're planning on putting it in at pottberg park, which is on blue springs lake, just east of lakewood
