Hemme loves reading golf books and highly suggested The Inner Game of Golf. .

Utz - You will love this this book.  It discusses practice routines and the mental approach to winning.

Along those same lines, Pete Cashen has recommended The Inner Game of Tennis.  He may have been trying to tell me something.   8)

Nice night with some pretty heavy winds out of the south all night long.  It made for some high scores.

We had 9 players so we all just played Open.  No ace that I know of, and I don't know what the ace fund is at now.

Results
--------------------------------------------------
Tony Brunsberg          57   $12
Jared Edwards            60   $9
Brian Palmer               62   $3
Jordan Hippensteel     62   $3
David Walker              64
Andrew Walters          71
Dale Walters               72
Robert Carter              73
Mary Walters              79

Next week, same place, roughly same time, I'll probably go closer to 5:45.  We were starting at about 5:40 tonight.  Always weather permitting, of course.

General Banter / Re: Why did you join the KCFDC?
« on: April 01, 2013, 10:24:49 PM »
When I started playing in 2010, the discount we received at Disc Golf World made joining an easier decision.  Now, I re-up every year for bag tags, to support the Wide Open, and for the opportunity to compete for a spot on the EAST SIDE challenge team!

I joined to get thumber lessons from Vinnie.

If you've got nowhere to go but up, might as well just start playing for tags! :)

any time.  there is no "skill" standard to start playing for bag tags.  tags are a fun way to initiate some competition between you and fellow golfers, particularly if you don't feel ready for leagues or more organized golf.

just be aware, if you play in a league event (league/tournament/etc) and someone else on your card has a tag, you're supposed to be playing for them.  no hoarding a decent tag number because you don't want to lose it.
