One little suggestion with doubles at Swope. What about Pro/Am doubles? We used to do this at Rosedale. Sing up either Pro or Am and then have two sets of cards. Pro pull from one and Am from the other. Must match number and suit. Just an idea. Balances the field. Less of a gamble on having CD and Shannon doubled together:)

Thanks for all you do Van!

We can always do better, but this was freaking awesome. A million thanks to all who gave time and energy to this event. It takes a village! I saw our old leader boards today in storage. I think I can use a dry erase to remove the permanent marker and the other one is clean. So remember those for next year.

Just a quick note to thank all the volunteers out there this weekend. In two days at WW we have had Josh O., John Theiss, Nova P., Marty and Ruth Ann, Soup and Rebecca, Bobby Deitzel (sp), Doug Kheeler, Adam Abernathy, and a bit from GI Dave, Van Spratford, and Ben Crosby:). My point is this was at one course and the event isn't over yet. Q:How awesome is our community? A:1000%. Thank you to all. We are shining right now folks. Let's keep it up!

So beyond this banter, today was phenomenal at Water Works. Everyone of you should stand up straighter knowing how well this town represents. Lots of compliments today folks. Lots. Thanks to the volunteers who came out at all the courses. See you all tomorrow up north. The Wide Open has some great energy rocking. Let's keep it going! Final 9 Sunday afternoon.

^^^^ Depends on your division. Int&Rec no. Am1 yes. Open no.

So what's the source here?

My experience has shown me this guy is an ego maniac with a radio show based on general ignorance and strong opinions with the occasional capitulation to appear to be more likeable.

This stereotype is not about our sport. It is about a wide spread social stereotype among working and middle class folks in the US and the idea of Frisbee. This is why I always correct anyone who says Frisbee. It is a disc. It goes fast. You don't want to play catch with it, and it does things a Frisbee cannot. The people who play professionally are athletes! That usually gets the other person to start asking questions. Educate some folks!

So the KCFDC community is, as always, incredible! Thanks to Mark No Sleep Mills, Beast Kujo (kickin ass in general), Nova Pick Up some mulch, Nick Chainsaw Wink, Dan Mulch Rake Howard, and VP Nate Zier. Plus me that is 21 hours of great work at WW. Everyone showed up to get something done. Followed it up with lunch, drinks, and a few holes of WW.

There's still a bit more to do but most of it is done.

Thank you!

Calling all volunteers! Water Works needs your help!

I am focusing on Sunday next weekend (the 14th) for the big push from 10-1. Having said that if anyone has time during the week, I am free. I am really looking for a pickup to load up with mulch from the lower parking lot and get it out where needed.

Other work will be cleaning up the broken areas of the the walls and painting the OB lines, doing what erosion control we can with downed limbs, improving the "stair" from 5 to 6 (the rain took its toll), and any other areas that you see fit to clean up/improve. As always we will pull trash too!

I will paint the 10 meter circles the week of the event (hopefully right after a dry spell and a fresh mow).

Thanks in advance!
