Okay scratch that. I 70 is closed in Colorado and Kansas, so I will not be back for Sunday morning. Hopefully, I can make it back Sunday night and plan some ad hoc work during the week.

It would seem the weather has set itself against you again.  Maybe by June there'll be a weekend when it's not snowing/freezing raining on you.

You are correct. However, Swope has an event every weekend through the 21st of April, so you gotta strike while the iron is hot, or in this case, cold

I'm thinking about a space heater in the club house to warm us up.

Sorry I won't be able to make this one at my favorite course in town, but there is room for shameless promotion of workday on Sunday. I know the weather is supposed to suck, but if you love Swope and KC golf give us a hand if you can. Thread under Swope. Thanks to Matt and DD for doing another one rounder.

I always just assume that a competitive round is going to take an average of three hours. The exceptions being longer courses which can take longer; and shorter courses - or tournaments with small turn outs - which can make the round shorter. But on average, I think 3 hours is about average in my experience. Unless CD is on the card... Then all bets are off. LOL

Or Stiles for that matter, and he started this damn off topic thread.  ;)

There will not be as many rounds this year, so as long as we keep it moving on the course, all should be good and kosher. Swope Gold is very long course and very challenging. It is no BV, but it is way tougher than WW and Rose, so I guess it takes longer to play. I also like to promote fitness and stamina, but I get it. Play faster and we won't be as tired or out of rhythm on the course.

I'm not sure if most disc golfers have the right conditioning for this marathon of golf.

Agreed. All I heard about last year's WO was the player's party was great, but we played TOO MUCH golf. Is that possible? Yes.

So, this morning the weather sucked. Planning on trying this again next Sunday at 9:00 a.m. I was out there for about an hour and  half today but barely made a dent in the work. Next week it is!

So Eric. When you invited me to play this Sunday, was it a ploy to get me out to Swope for this?

No not at all. I set the course SHORT yesterday, so after the work is done everyone could enjoy some low scores. The weather forecast is not great, but as long as it isn't raining we should be good. Probably no painting for tomorrow if it is wet, but all else should be good.

I would invite and encourage everyone that visits to pack out what you bring in, and if you see some dumbasses litter, please pick it up.  :)

Yeah, pick up any dumb asses' litter and pack in pack out everywhere you can. I can't wait to play it the first week of April. Yes, it is on my calendar.  ;) :D "If Loomis likes it, I must play"(read in robot voice).

Would someone on this forum let Beer League know a work day is happening. I am sure they would look out for down limbs and litter during their usual Sunday morning round.
Thanks!

And, why doesn't Beer League have  an FB page? Is it outside their modus operandi?
