Swope League June 19, 2012
Twelve out for league on a short course, save 15, and swirling and gusting winds. So, yeah it was short but scores were not too low. Only Scott Herring could put in the wind to win at -4. Tavish and Suzette represented the ladies golf. Note Tavish and I shot the same  Nice shooting in that wind it was not forgiving. Scott’s 4 down was with 7 birdies.

Open
Scott H- 50- $14
Jon Osgood- 55- $9
Brian Palmer- 56- $7
Eric Kolkmeier- 57
Fred F.- 58
Mike Murphy- 60
Stiles- 61
Jethro Tull- 64
Sprint- 64
Dan D- 65

Women
Tavish- 57 -$6
Suzette- 67

Van is back tomorrow. See ya out there.

It hasn't been moved because it is the more challenging shot. Without the guardian trees on the left position, it is either a 2 or a 3, while the right position is a 2,3, or 4. But, yeah, I'll move it and thanks for the request. Just FYI as to why it hasn't been moved. Otherwise, I have set the course pretty short for now.
I'll be out there tomorrow to prep for league and get the trash.
Swope League tomorrow btw

I'll be moving some of Swope shorter tomorrow for Tuesday's league. I'm leaving 15 in the peninsula and 1 long, but moving most of the rest. See you Tuesday for league.

I was also thinking that since Old Pike Mike brought his league to Swope; we should return the favor sometime this summer. Wachou tink?

We really can look back on the last weekend and raise our heads a little higher. The KCWO Committee blew us all away with the fruits of their labors. Rick, Crazy, Jack, Tavish and Dan stepped up and gave their passion for the sport right back to their hometown. All of the volunteers, course TDs, Beer League, KCFDC BOD, sponsors big and small, Kansas Citians, and club members just set the standard for the KCWO. I heard accolades in all directions. Everybody was really impressed with the courses, the challenge, and the player experience. What a pleasure being part of this community is.

I talked to Dave Hemmeline before the awards ceremony, and he summed up his feelings about KC, the courses, and the community in two words, "Big heart."

I got hole 13 at Young yesterday morning. Pete Engleman, who was spotting, saw it go in, but we were still shocked. A silent and blind ace. I threw a flx buzz.

Vince and Chris, Thanks. I am out of town until Friday, but will work with Chris to get it set in WO configuration over the weekend. Thanks to everyone, Stiles (Glauzinizer and Jim "Slim" Neal), for their help with trash and what not. They are ocnstantly working on that course. On the D.L.,  Dan Cashen and Pete Engleman work tirelessly on beautification and practicalities as well.

Steve just had one of those all around great games , no harm done I played on his card. Van I left early not knowing I won 8$ , I will settle up next Tuesday.

I was gonna say the course was super short, conditions great, and maybe somebody just had a great night. If you kill it one week, that doesn't imply it is a given. The great thing about any individual sport is that any given day you can rock or it can rock you.
