Barter Town / Re: KCFDC Elections and Swap Meet
« on: November 11, 2013, 08:35:40 PM »
I am looking for any JK Pro Vals, anything CE but love CE Vals and Leopards, pearly Beasts, Leopards, and Eagles. 11x KC Eagles for throwers (Pro or Champ). SSS Wizards of any type and SS if they are truly Super Soft.

If anyone has a 2008 Ace Race disc (Nebula), I'd like it. Bar stamp Buzzzes and ten year anniversary Buzzzes go w/o saying.

What I have to offer; I have a selection of the above and lots of KCFDC tournament discs from the past 8 years or so. Most are white DX Rocs or Aviars (includes a gold 20th anniversary Aviar), but with good stamps. I am going to bring a number of first run discs, and an extensive and sexy Buzzz collection too.

I just bought a house, so it's all for sale. Looking to do more trades than sales, but I still appreciate some dough.

Barter Town / KCFDC Elections and Swap Meet
« on: November 11, 2013, 08:25:11 PM »
So, I must admit I have a vested interest in promoting this event. This lies on two fronts; I like to collect collectable and great throwing discs, and I hope the swap meet brings out more members, possibly new members, for the elections.

So dig deep in your closets and golf bags/bins and show up at 6:00 in the back room of the Westport Flea Market to buy, sell, or trade discs and disc related items.

Elections and BoD report starts at 6:45. This year’s KCFDC Bag Tags will be available too.

I love the haters! Thanks for the kick-arse vid. I'm gonna repost it!

It's a fun  course and i hear it will be set up easy for the tourney.  The disc community should support the event.  It's hard to pass up ok joes an thornfield for free!    Everyone playing hopefully will support the cause.
As a side note:  Mr. Pink in KC, one of the fast facts they fed you is a falsehood.   I am not sure which of your administrative assistants helped you with the fast facts; but, I  am fairly certain that Thornfield is  not the only private course in K.C.  But, its the biggest.  Reportedly, there are at least two other secret private courses in the area.  One of which you and your brother Dan helped us build and you are a current member.    Wish I could make it out to Thornfield on Saturday.  Keep up the good work, Pete!

 ;)

Has anyone talked to Fred about fall/winter? I am still out for a few weeks, but I can always help out later in the season.

Here's a link to the results and some stats.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0ArlNIimRXNHEdHNEVUdDckRDUk5ibVhCVGFsdHVXMUE#gid=1

David Valdiviez was the day's champion representing Team Roc.

Mark Stiles took home the most cash with an ace on hole 8 and second place overall.

Team Buzzz was more consistent and four of the top six came from Team Buzzz, but the players who showed up for Roc come through.

Thanks again to the KCFDC, WPTC, TallGrass, DD, and DGW for  their support. The Petrins, Mike and Melissa, were amazing! Volunteer help like that is worth paying for. You guys were great!

I'm already thinking about next year.

I'm going to try to make it for a last run at the Ace fund. Course is fairly friendly for ace runs at the moment.

What a fun event. I can't wait to play next year. Discraft needs to come out with a new putter and call it a Classic Buzz to help even the field of discs used at this event. Team Buzz only lost because it was the most popular disc choice. There needs to be a equal match up between teams. If team Roc can only come up with 11 players then just use the top 11 scores on Team Buzz.  There was also one player that finished ahead of me who thought 4 was the max score you could take on one hole and I saw him get at a 7 on one hole. Maybe that rule was only for Team Roc members.

Guth,

Thanks for the positive feedback and that situation sucks. It was obviously misinterpreted and Peter nailed it on the head. I could have dealt with that discrepancy then but really can't do anything now. One player has told me he misinterpreted the max score, so yes I thought I had clearly communicated but not at all.  It's one more thing to work on for next year.

I'll have the numbers up this week. I gotta head cold now and a full week ahead, so it dropped in priority.

Once again a huge thank you to our sponsors and to all who played and made it great.

Registrations are coming in. If you want to be on Team Buzzz, don't delay. Team Roc has more spots left. Contact me or reg at DD or DGW. Saturday morning may be too late for Team Buzzz.

The way I understand it, you can use as many of the one disc as you want.

So I'll have a bag full of Rocs. Like 15-20 of them.
sounds about right: 15-20 rocs = 1 buzzz.

And let it begin!  ;D

Yep, Bird Father all the Rocs you want but nothing else, except for all the Buzzzes. I think Rocs may have an advantage on the course this year. Thank you and hope to see you out there.

I'm out throwing in the field tonight, got a bag-o-buzzzs plus the MVP Axis that I have fun tossing around and wouldn't ya know, it's the Axis that was consistently hitting the lines I wanted. And then I had an small epiphany, Eric you have only included the WalMart and Target of the disc golf industry to participate, and this aggression towards the smaller start-ups just will not stand.

I'm championing an epic tournament crash the likes of which KC has never seen before. Team Axis, Team Halo, Team Fugitive, Team Ghost... pack your bags and head down to Swope Saturday morning and let's show these tossers how a midrange disc can really be used! Team Axis is in the works, PM me for details.

I love it Dan! This really changes logistics but I'm gonna sleep on it. Cool idea though.
