So is Lakeside still the home of uncontrolled and untamed ticks and poison ivy?

Hey Dale,

Ive played both courses quite a bit in the last month and havent had many  ticks at all(and I often throw in the deep stuff).  The few I have pulled off have been tiny ones.  The last 2 leagues at birdland have yielded 0 of them.  Plenty of burrs but with the rough getting mowed down, your socks should be salvagable.  I dont get poison ivy so I cant comment on that. ;)

Found and Lost / Thank you, Kyle

As I played my monday day round at PC, I met a fellow swimming in the pond searching for discs.  Whenever I do see someone fishing, I usually approach them and note any I have lost in the pond.  This dude was cool and said he found 2 and neither fit the description.  He then mentioned he calls any he finds with numbers(cool move).  I moved on and later he met met me around hole 5 and we threw a round.  He told me he ended up finded double degits before he dried off and invited me to take a look and see if I recognized any names(way cool).  When it was all said and done 4 discs were claimed as people I knew and 2 were returned that day.  The others were contacted. So Greg, Dan, Dick, and Fred be sure to thank Kyle(didnt get his last name). He said he plays WW quite a bit.  I wish everyone bro'd it out like him.

Harold- could you bring whatever discs and crap I left in your truck last week? I'll be there around 10

Harold had a bada$$ field ace on hole 5.  He flicked a nuke into the first tree on the left and then flicked the same disc into the basket for a birdie.  unfortunately I was dragging a tree limb up the hill to a brush pile and didnt see it. I did hear the celebration. Had to be 250ft.

Let's also remember that these holes will someday have multiple placements. I've 3d this hole more times than I've hit trees and yall know how wild my throws get. And if this hole gets in your tits then good luck on the back side. God bless

You heard the man. So come on out to birdland sunday or come on out to pc @ 10-10:30 on friday and bring a weedeater. We'll nicen up 15(pond shot) and then play some ftl.  If you get this, Brian C, your weedeater with the pro cutta tip would be choice.

Heyo Tom. I'm gonna be out at pc friday for some clean up. Pm me with any suggested holes. What about removing dead tree from #2 fairway that blocks the straight shot at island? Or I was thinking cleaning up #11 left placement. Ill have a few trash bags and at least fill a few up. And count me in on Sunday.

General Banter / Re: Friday Traveling League - 8/16/13 Atchison time?
« on: August 14, 2013, 10:22:45 PM »
I'm out on Atchison but how bouta split league and I'll do a PC. Or Birdland. I got this new machete and  I'm sure a little trash pick up would help those courses look nice for Old Settlers. ???? If anyone want to join me or objects to an ace fund, let me knows.

I'm liking a noon tee. Ill be out at pc around 10am to do some clean up. If anyone likes a different tee time also post it.

Ace race aces don't count dude. Especially if it was hole 1.

Fun time. Ideas for next year:
Throw 2 each hole.
On holes with multiple baskets, move them about a foot or two apart. I thought normal hole 7 would have been cool to have a few spaced inside putting circle.

As far as gang golf,  if you think groups were big,  you haven't played on an Andy and Deano card.

And hey Discraft, nice disc and merch, but way too much disc for an ace race. These disc had to be snapped pretty hard to fly straight. In my Polish opinion these discs are not that stable just a little fast for the distance required. Resulting in them going left(for rhbh) quickly when they slow.

Thanks Josh, Swade, and Scott for getting it together. Also thanks to Kcfdc for bringing out some goodies as well.
