MO. side contains approximately 4800 square miles, or 61% of the 50 mile radius circle around the metro area. KS side occupies approximately 3054 square miles, or 39% of the circle. Gathering as much recent estimates of population as I could, I found that MO side has 832,000 residents plus outlying small towns. KS side has 767,400 residents plus outlying small towns. Since MO has over 1 and half times the square mileage, I am sure the total population of outlying towns in MO would easily outpace the numbers in KS.
Given this, my guess is that if the address records for the KCFDC membership were public, one could reveal that more club members reside in MO than KS.
During our last Club Elections there was a map that showed the disc golfer population in our city and it showed beyond a doubt that there are more disc golfers on the West side. I know someone from the club can produce this map for us here.
My main objection is having Lawrence participate. No offense to the Lawrentians, I love you guys.
