Could we please get all the baskets moved to their tournament pin placements now, please?  All except Swope of course, that just can't be done yet.  I will gladly come out and help move the baskets at every course.  Course managers, PM me.

I like the decisions made about 5 and 7.   5 will provide a nice break from the four beastly previous holes.  7 is an amazing hole on the short position.

I was the lucky winner of the NASCAR tickets last year and I reeeeally hope to win them again!!!!  I had an ammmazing time there.  Can't wait for this benefit tournament.

Woodhenge has better finishing holes.  18 could use some teeth, but 17, 16, and 15 could see fortunes change.  The finishing holes on Blackthorn are rather weak.  Any movement on Blackthorn will be done in the front nine.  15 and 16 can throw kinks into anyone's game, but that doesn't amount to a good tournament finale.

I think we are forgetting one thing here too.  The West got out-captained as well.  Jake did a beautiful job with his matchups on the second day.

There's also something to be said about being over confident.  The West came in last year as the hands-down favorite to win.  It was predicted to be a massacre.  The East prepared well for the event and wanted the win more than the West.  We knew it was going to take our best effort to earn the win.  The West made the mistake of thinking they won before the event even started. 

In the end, it is our names who will forever remain just below the eagle on the trophy. Immortalized as the inaugural champions of a great yearly tradition.  The plaques won't read who the pre-challenge favorite was, only history will, and history will give future underdog teams the proof to show how little it means to be the clear cut favorite to win.
