We wish to carry them.

I made a terrible mistake.  I made my bed and I will now lay in it.

Our awesome women will continue to play for the East on my watch.

This years Captains have agreed that the Team Challenge should be class unrestricted. What does that mean?  There will be no age protected slots on the teams. There will be no gender protected slots on the team. Earn your spot on a team via qualifier or convince your captain that you're skilled enough to garner a hand picked spot.

This is the record on page 5.

I voted for no age protected slots.  This is my response to the vote:

Hi Tracy,

I'm sorry for the delay in response.  I am not feeling very well today and wanted to write a better response than what this will be, but I want to do this now and not later.

2.  Team selection will be the same as Dick mentioned he'd do for the West.  My first 5 qualifiers will be the top five scores during the Kan-U-Wyco.  Then I will use leagues to fill the squad, reserving my Captain's pick for special cases.

3.  I am for non-divisional play.  All open.

Again, I'm so sorry to be late and short in this response.  It bothers me that it reads this way :)

I hope your shoulder is feeling much better!

Take care.

Jose Ossa

My error lies in not having accounted for the "women's division" when considering non-divisional play.  My decision was purely based on age and skill level.  Not gender.

Tracy, again, if you made it clear that women were not to be included in the format then I consider it a grievous oversight on my part and for that I apologize.

Tavish Carduff and Amanda Jackson will be competing for the East and we are proud to have them on our roster!

The East will proceed as we have planned and will field two women.  If the West wants to exclude them then it's on them.

But, why don't we have a women's division?  Is it because there are not enough west side women who want to play?

It was a captain's vote. For the record, West Side voted to keep the women's division. But was fine with it either way so we went with the lEast Side decision.

This is outrageous.  Zapping the women's division was never stated.

I voted for no age protected divisions and for all to play open.  I never voted for NO WOMEN.  In fact, when I voted for the format, I was under the impression that Dick had wanted the same.

East side women are better golfers, why in the world would I voted not to have them?

Monday, May 5th, will be the last qualifier for the East Team.  BLUE VALLEY will host the Cliff Drive Monday league.  It is held at Blue Valley every first Monday of the month.

5 spots and they come real cheap.

Chris Dickerson won by six.  What a bagger.

I will be competing in my first ever Spring Renewal dubs this weekend!  My partner is relatively new to the sport so our goal is simply to have a blast.  See you guys on Saturday.

Who is Chris Dickerson?  He finished 3rd at Bowling Green and has a rating of 992.

This disc golfer is PDGA #62467 and has only competed in two tournaments:

1. Shootout at the Deer where he won Advanced by 8 throws with rounds rated 1015 and 999.

2. Knoxville Icebowl where he finished 4th in Open (only 4 throws behind Will Schusterick) with rounds rated 982 and 968, dropping his rating to 992.  Turned down cash.

Don't know where this guy came from but he is only an Amateur through turning down cash.  Even his PDGA page lists him as Professional (due to his then 1007 rating).

His PDGA # screams noob, but this guy has been playing for a long time.  He is playing Advanced in the upcoming Carolina Clash, undoubtedly so he can play Am Worlds.

He's already making a running for ROY 2015.   Lame.

Wow.  Whoever finishes both rounds out there won't have anything left for Saturday :)
