Lakeside Hills may be occupied with a PDGA tournament that weekend.

What event, Tom?

Not sure what it's called, but I was asked if PC or Lakeside Hills was able to be used for an event Smitty is seting up. With soccer and baseball in full swung in June, I said to use Lakeside Hills. I have no details on it, but perhaps it will be on Saturday, so the Team Challenge can go unaffected.

Major bummer.

First East Side Qualifier

Top 5 scores in Kan-U-Wyco event Saturday, March 8th.

I'm assuming this means top 5 scores regardless of division?

You are correct.  Best scores.

I can smell blue valley from my house!

That's good because that's where we will be meeting on Saturday morning.  We're going to have fun with a modified Blue Valley.  Pin settings will be announced well in advance and will combine big and baby blue.

To me that sounds like a great idea, especially if we are going to be competing there during the challenge.

The end of the month of February has come and gone.  With this we need to have a captain chosen.
I have sent messages to every person involved in the past Team Challenges and there are no volunteers to become captain.  Please post here if you are interested.

I have also messaged today every person I got in touch with informing them that I have thrown my hat in the ring officially for captaincy.  I wrote a short reason why I believe I would make a good captain.  Please, if you are a disc golfer living on the East side and are interested in voting for the captain of the team, PM me and I will share my message with you as well.

Thank you very much for your consideration.

EAST SIDE:

I'm in the process of Facebook messaging all previous member of our squad asking for nominees.  From these we will all vote who we want to represent us as captain for the 2014 Team Challenge.  If you read this before I send you a message or if you are an East Sider  interested in being captain and haven't participated in the event, send me a message via this forum or FB, please.  I will then notify each of you of the candidates.

Soooooo, now I've heard Jake, Jose, and GI Dave....do any of them have any interest in being the captain?

Peter, I'm gathering nominees via Facebook and we'll then vote once those who are interested have been identified.

We the East Side will get together and choose our captain, no need for your help, Tracy.  I'll start making some calls.  I was under the impression our captain was already chosen.

Narin, I changed my status to Not Going at the last minute because it turned out to be a gorgeous day.  Also, when I initially said I'd go I failed to check the calendar to see that it was on a Saturday, and I play Down Under league on that day.  I'm sorry about that.

The idea is very interesting to me, but I'm always going to go with the more profitable venture when choosing what event to attend.
