Any thoughts on talking with any of the local ball golf courses to see if they are interested in a safari tournament? Seems with DD's track record and contacts in Emporia it could be a viable possibility.

I've considered this with Tomahawk Golf Course in Shawnee, actually very close to SMP.

Bill Maasen, the Superintendent of Golf Courses for P&R is the guy to go to for stuff at SMP, and he's really into disc golf as a whole. He plays occasionally and his son Brett is a KCFDC Member.

I dont think anyone was able to get below 50 @ SMP (No wind what so ever!)

Jake Bowen shot a 48 as I predicted.

EDIT: It was a little bit windy up top at Shawnee, but not too bad. Jake will be the first to tell you that he left a 46 (or better) out there.

As a CC Prediction - I think the hot score at SMP tomorrow will be 48. I could see a 46 if there isn't much wind.

That new one on the island on #8 is going to get cussed at in a couple years....

Yeah I'm curious to see how that one grows.

Agreed. I played Big Blue this Saturday and was very pleased. The fairways are mowed beautifully.

The only thing I can think of is that there is only like one trash can on the whole course; not sure what's happened to them.

Isn't this pretty much how the Hippodrome (course for Collegiate Nats) is designed? Every hole is specifically tailored to benefit from a certain kind of shot?

What's the update here? Are these baskets still missing?

How do we get a our refund? Do we just stop at the store? Or will it be refunded through our paypal?

Either way, a bummer. I was looking forward to this.

Is this thing capped at 90 players?

I won't have money to register until next Friday (the 4th) likely, I don't want to lose a spot.

I vote all courses(whichever we play) need to be in Championship Layout(aka- hardest pin settings).  Shooting even should be killing it.

I can make SMP set up so that 54 is almost 1000 rated. Just say the word.

By the way, the Ace Fund ends the year at $409.

Thanks again to everyone who came out this year! And a special thanks to Steve for helping me run league several times through out the year, and closing out the last month.

We're planning on doing 10 weeks of PDGA League at some point next year, so look forward to that!

We'll already be out West, why not play SMP again this year?

Is this some kind of OP math that Paola folks don't get? 21 holes times 4 per should be 84 strokes.

lol I was still stuck on 18 holes. Valid point, although I suppose the 72 stroke limit served it's purpose well either way.
