and in 2012 if you head to worlds, some of the courses planned there are going to make the Down Under look like an open field for the worlds.....

 I call BS!

I grew up on those courses and NONE of them are "crap shoots" like DU. Stan McDaniel doesn't make luck golf. that's all DU is, Who are you trying to fool here?

"down under was used for worlds"... Ya, for the grandmasters, that were about to revolt and walk out, as a division!!!

....and quit telling me bout "hitting lines" down there... You don't get top 50 in the world, failing to hit lines, crap shoot

Down under is made for winter leagues and drinking rounds, that's all!

First of all, to get some sponsorship from surrounding business' is not that hard...

I have raised lots of funds and swag from business' that never heard of disc golf.

Example ~ Caribou coffee in Omaha, I stopped in bought a coffee and chatted with the manager for about 10 mins... talked to him about disc golf and how it has affected the community and the local golfers... He never met me or heard bout disc golf and after 10 said minutes... He offered me 8 HUGE gift baskets filled with goodies (which went to all the first place winners) from the store and offered to come out and even serve free coffee to the tourney players, the morning of...all on my way to work!

You don't need a flyer, you just have to know how to approach people, let them see your passion and that you believe in what your telling them and talk to them with respect.  Invite them to come out and see where there product is going and see what disc golf is all about... since than, they sponsored 3 more of my events, until the manager left the company..

Treat people the way you want to be treated, better yet, treat people the way you want the world to treat your kid!!!!

edited* taking the higher road....

I definitely need work on my driving.  I would love to schedule some time so that we could spend a couple hrs if not more.   Please let me know how your schedule looks.   I work 8-4/5, and live in the northland.

I am real busy right for the next few weeks and tourney season is upon us... I'll letcha know when we can coincide some time...

I love the NBA, I have for a few decades. I have had many, upon many conversations with people about players making sooo much money, which is partly the reason people don't like it. But whats the difference in being the top 1% of your industry and making a pretty penny, like disc golf, wait, wrong thread... I'll save that one for a later date....

An owner can up and throw you on the trade block anytime he wants to and dump you to another team, unless you have a no trade clause in your contract( which only 10% can demand). Sticking it out and signing another deal 2 years ago with the Cavs like he did on the promise that they would bring him help... They DID NOT... So he explored his options, and agreed with Bosh and Wade 2 years ago (allegedly) to all sign together in Twenty-ten...

Magic needed Worthy, Rambis, and Lou Al Cinder

 Jordan needed Pippen and Cartwright

Kobe needed the Big Aristotle or Gasol

Pierce needed Garnett and Jesus Shuttleworth ("He got game" reference")

 Bron-Bron needs Bosh and Wade...

that's just the way it is..

I have absolutely no problem with his decision, but I do think the way he did was weak sauce to say the least...

Get over yourself Prince james and stop quitting on your team in the playoffs (again, allegedly)

 ps. Pistons SUCK!!!!!  :P

If I have any time I'll update our calendar to include these regional events...

 Please god nooooo!

Leos are so funny.

There's another tournament that weekend? Why?

I know right, I can't believe they didn't clear the PDGA schedule for this.
