Please keep "your god" off our disc golf course.
Fairy tales belong behind stained glass!

Scott, I want to shoot video of the MPO lead card's final round on Sunday afternoon. Do I need any formal permission from DD, TD, or the players to do that? This would be for posting to YouTube after editing. Similar to McFlySoHigh is the idea...

 No, you don't.

Just tell the lead card what your doing and stay out of their way...

You'll be fine, Cant wait to watch it!

Before moving here in 1992, Lynne and I would attend the Backing it Out and Rolling it Over New Year's Day celebration put on by Dave "Dog" Underwood. You'd "back out" the old year by playing Rosey backwards, and then "roll in"  the New Year by having to throw either rollers or tomahawks. (I think you had to putt upside down as well). Dog would always have a big batch of hot spiced rum, which later became a tradition for Ice Bowl that continues to this day.  Several people ran it after Dog, including Otto. I ran it a couple of times as well. One year there was snow, which kind of put a hurt on the "rolling it over" portion, and I believe the second round was played down under. And that is today's historical review, subject to the shortcomings of long-term memory.

That was for the Roll it back and do it over at rosedale, where you had it backwards and had to roll your first shot.  I miss that silliness.

Right, like Otto reads these things.....

Two of my favorite things about winter golf in KC:
 * Yaj's DU DuBs
 * Playing Rosie backwards on Sundays, with the Vets!!

Mo state coordinator and I have talked, for awhile now, about "  Wouldn't it be cool if the KCFDC applied to Host US Masters, Or US Womens.

Crispian, Our club is the kind that would completely embrace that, dontchu agree?  ;)

Tank, I don't think you're a guilty party in any of this, and while I've never played with you, know that you're pretty inclusive in wanting people to play and just love the sport.

Thanks Nate, I try to make myself available to any and everyone. I certainly have requested cards from time to time at league, but it's because I want to play with certain league attenders, than not, NOT play with others, make sense?

Afterall, This game is sposed to be FUN, right?!!!

Since were setting records straight, just know I toured with Valarie Jenkins for a few years. So I am the farthest away from condemning women golf,  I support women golf more than most!

Hell, I even voted for YOU as a BoD member!!  :)

 Thanks again for stepping up!

Having a penis is awesome, Most enjoyment you can have without a disc in your hand!  ;D

As far as Events, Each TD can assign certain amount of spots per division.

Also take into factor, Older golfers are more discriminated against than women. Many events force masters and Grandmaster pro men, to play Open if they don't have 3 or more players, If you look at many events, women aren't forced to play "Open" even if they have NO competition. They get special treatment. They pay their entry, compete against no one and get their money back upon event completion. Is that fair?

Look at the previous 'Woman Rookie of the year" She gets boosted for winning 10 events, where in almost all of them, she played against herself.

BoD members should represent whats good for the ENTIRE congregation, not just one certain group.

I understand your trying to be a voice for your gender, but what truly happens is, you become a "Special interest" director. We all know this is what's wrong with our US government too.

I highly suggest you seek out other women Mo golfers like Brenda Lowe and Rebekah Kersey and talk to them about what its like to play disc golf in there town. You will quickly find out that KC Divas are WAAAAAAY better received in KC than most other golf communities!
Don't assume that every community has a "Womens' League", They are very rare and far between.

I personally am proud, and I brag about it on the road even, that we have a big group of women that play because they love the game, not just their husband/bf drags them out to the course!!

Just so you know, There's a woman that has played down under dubs for years, without incident! She often gets requested to play on certain cards because shes so well liked and respected.

Also, At Old Pike League, any woman playing, starts off with a birdie before any shots are even thrown!

At the latest local event, 91 players played and 2 were women. Everybody had a chance to sign up. So where was the "Limited availability for women"?

I'm not sure if your seeking equality or special treatment?
