Very much so...
I'll do it for 20 cents per stroke, deal?
That sounds sorta like a Gorilla shuffle...
Quote From Surf's Up:
"Tank Evans: [doing pushups over hot coals] Right, no, I getcha. What's winning without the losers? It feels better, when there's a lot of losers around... was, was that your question?"
Congrats on the win
Here is what is going to happen...
Tomorrow morning, if we have less than say 100 people show up, we will all play Up Top first. Then in the afternoon I will review Down Under and check conditions before the second round.
Although, if the morning brings 150 people, we will split up as originally planned. Remember, you do not have to play all four rounds if you feel Down Under is too dangerous to play. I am playing tomorrow by ear at this point. I'm confident the course won't be as bad as most of you assume it will be. It rarely is. And we have had multiple rounds of CLUB SPONSORED leagues that have not brought any problems. Now there was that Ice Bowl that the club ran were someone broke their ankle. He was kind enough to not sue, but I get that some of you are looking for a reason to do so.
Again, you do not have to play that round if you are afraid of injury. I will even allow you to play up top twice in order to get a better pecking order in the bag tag placements but you will not be in the top #'s as far as people who play the full 4 rounds of club championships the way it is intended. You just will have a better number than those who play 3 rounds.
Any questions? Good. See you tomorrow morning. And please be early so we can get started on time.
Also, I'm surprised no one is concerned about playing Water Works. It is the one course where someone broke their ankle after a big rain during the Wide Open.
Why not do it at Stocksdale as a 1 day event, 2 rounds on Nov 1 or 8? Cap at 90 players... 5 on a card isn't terrible. 2 different set ups for the course would be easy. Course opens this month so would be a good kick off for the course. Ivy should be dead or mostly dead. Hell if I knew how to run a tournament I would do it assuming the course would be ready and it sounds like it should be.
FYI, there will be a superclass throwdown shortly after the opening, and probably even a superclass glow dubs league through the winter(looking like Wednesdays)...with 1 night a month of variety, TBA. Keep a lookout.
Sooooo.....is Jake going to repeat? Predictions?
