Tournaments / Re: 2013 Kansas City Team Challenge

We dont 'own' the courses, no, but we do have live contracts with the city and parks department, as well as provide insurance for events.

Tracy, I was just informing you of the situation. For all events that want the benefits of having KCFDC blessings, we have a protocol that's followed. A tournament proposal is sent to the Board, we review it and make sure there arent any conflicts, and also assist the TD with tournament needs, etc.

I'm just sticking with the protocol that we offer to every TD and potential event. As of right now, there doesnt seem to be any conflicts. Given the type of event, (Fundraiser, Team Challenge, non-pdga) this shouldnt be an issue.

For us, as a Board, not to review the date switch would be unfair to any other potential events.

I'm offering my full support for any work that needs done for the Wide Open. OB rope? Tee Signs? Etc, etc.
All right! GEP31KCWO's first volunteer!

Good lordie, dammit Cooper!

I mean, yes I love it too, and I use it. All I'm saying is we should organize the data a little better, to make things easier to search, and actually read the information. Wouldnt it be nice to be able to sort all the A-tiers, or sort all the doubles tournaments, charity events, etc.

We could possibly sticky it. I feel it would need to be cleaned up, maybe use some <table> tags. Ultimately I would like to see this put into a .ICS format, so we can import to our favourite device, and make our own changes/enhancements.

Eventually. the event being open only.  A masters version of the event could be created.   If we ever get enough women interested in competition, there could be a women's version of the team challenge.

Team Challenge winner would be decided on points from all 3 challenges? That would be sweet. Imagine there's a tie, and the the captains have to play sudden death golf for the title.

On a positive note, we gathered at least 3 full bags of trash.

You're so cool Tom. There's no stopping KC disc golf, we have a course for every man, woman, and child!

THANKS to all the volunteers putting in the hours. It makes the world go round. Cant wait to play LH!

Yes please help with trash duty! The club will certainly provide the bags, or if you want instant gratification, you may purchase the trash bags yourself. Save your receipts, the club will reimburse you!

the VP of Kansas courses is Mike Petrin (mpetrin)
the VP of Missouri courses is Ben Crosby (BenC)

If you ever have any questions please feel free to PM/Email them! Some courses have designated trash pickup areas, we must ensure the bags are closed and accessible by trash trucks to pick up.
They can also help with your reimbursements, and discuss future ideas for volunteering.

Thanks for making FTL solid!

A little confused? On Feb. 3rd was posted someone had tag#151 are we talking KCFDC leather tag #151???

You would be correct, Leather KCFDC #151 I think we're up to 200 at this point. I know at least 187.
