So, I think we're still confused about the divisions.

There is no such thing as Mens Pro Open.. :D

Here's a pdf that helps explain: Courtesy of the PDGA

All you oldies and your damn perks! I'll stay young and fresh for a lil bit :)

So Jack, hole 8, if its placed in its long position is like 700+ foot hole right? Are there baskets also in the long setup? or did we just get 17, 18 and 1 back?

I cant believe Convers shot a 57. good for him. what a world class course, and I'm headed there for a 1pm tee time.

Thanks Jack~ Good luck out there Hinck, I'm sure you'll tear it up. I just go out there and hang on for dear life, and make my putts :)

"Riding up on a motorcycle about 5mins before tee time, still drunk..."

Its not a practice shot though, you're still losing a stroke. You don't get to mulligan and play the shot over again for free.. You just dont get the extra stroke penalty.

I think it's badass to watch and see all the great shots going on. It's really getting the best scores out of the field too.

Aaron, "Big Blue" is still getting put back into the ground (if it hasnt been already) but there should be "little blue" for you to discover. I would recommend playing the short course first. You can get the map on the Blue Valley forum or find it here

It's a good 2 hour course playing solo for your first time. Bring water, get ready to walk. it's very fun!

Maybe I'll come join you, what time do you plan on heading out there?

dime vegas doubles:: 2 leftest drives vs 2 rightest drives, combined scoring, deuces "wild". say leftest go 3-4, and rightest go 3-5, so 34 from 35 means leftest each win a dime. say leftest go 2-3 and rightest go 3-4....deuces wild switch numerals so 23 from 43 means each leftest would win 20 dimes each.

I like the Distance penalty only. Its really cool for the USDGC given the conditions of Winthrop. I'm sure it really helps with pace of play and having spotters on every hole is certainly a benefit. The only downfall is, it allows for very high reward shots to be taken without risk; which may cater to some types of players specifically. Everyone gets the same rules so it evens out in the end eh?

It cuts down on the amount of shots thrown OB near the basket, then left for an easy putt for a circle 3 (or 4.) If you have a difficult upshot OB will not be bailing you out. You still have to eventually make that shot count. That's a neat portion of this.

Great. Now we're all walking advertisements.. I'll pass.

The tag you end with this year gets your picture on it for next years.. You'd be holding the tag in the picture so it would be almost-kinda-like inception golf.

Or people could submit custom art for say, a range of tags. maybe 10 tags you 'adopt'

just tryin to get some idears flowin

Possibly, with the Classic Rocs you certainly have to go by feel. If its one of the early soft & gummy runs they're pretty neat. Some of the harder late runs are a little too slick for my liking. anywho, cya tonight at liga!
