Yeeeah.. I'm lost on this ruling too.. /agree jack.. If the venue is non-smoking then its pretty obvious..

However if you gain approval from your entire group, I dont see this as a problem

my .02 cents

I agree with Rick. It sounds like we're diving into big-boy discs, and we dont even know how the new chap throws!

Personally I'm quite happy with my drive. I'm not a big arm thrower at all, finesse is my game.
The only time I'd throw a Boss, Destroyer, Nuke or TeeRex would be in a headwind, or a left-to-right wind.

Also worth mentioning, if our fledgling player is a "big arm" kind of guy, those drives generally need developing. Starting with a slower disc will instantly teach you what "speed" means. The TeeBird and the TeeRex are completely different discs..thats for sure.

so lesson here: Throw as many different discs as you can, and throw them often!

Hey folks!

Anybody have links, tips, best-practices on where I can get a Disc Golf Journal. You know, something for writing scores, notes, etc.

Here's an example (but in silly ball golf format): http://www.amazon.com/Ultimate-Golf-Journal-Lisa-Bach/dp/081185891X

I'm looking at getting a plain or ruled Moleskine: http://www.moleskine.com/catalogue/classic/notebooks/

However, I was looking for something like the moleskine with a scorecard built in! I dont want info on club selection and how many putts I took on the green..

lastly, what does everyone keep track of in their journal :D if its not confidential
I want to keep: shot selection, disc selection, course info, opponent info, scores, weather, events....!

I lost my Japanese-Riddled day-glow-green mini marker. Very near and dear to me.

Frank however, lost his wallet. If you find Mr. Frank Weaver's wallet, let Frank or I know!

Thanks!

Jack,

I'll step up. I can be there as early as 5:00. depending on when Frank can get out of work. Are you going to show up at all? I dont have any scorecards and such, but I can download the pay-out sheet.

Let me know!

Wow! There was so much beer we had to drain it out at the end of the night. TanK, FranK and I went to town. At one point I actually was pulling a Homer Simpson on the tap stream. beautiful.

Thanks to TanK for adding at least 3 strokes to everyones score!

FranK and I took our punishment well, but I'm still feelin tail-between-my-legs for not making it out to the Cookie Cutter Classic

cya!

Both great colour choices, as they are the highest visibility on the light spectrum for night time use. However I lean towards Red since it diminishes our natural night vision the least

General Banter / KCFDC Newsletter - Winter Doubles
« on: September 15, 2011, 01:09:36 PM »
I read through the Newsletter today -- thank you to all who contributed to it, btw!

Under the "Fall into Winter League" section it lists a start date, time and other great information. However it fails to mention which course it will be held at.

Is this the Rosedale Down Under random dubs?

I'm ready if so!

Thanks!
