Joe - this is not a ball buster, just my thoughts...

I think the intention for the MAC is to give Ams the experience of playing in a larger tournament without paying a $100 entry fee.  Tee times for instance are never utilized for a C or B tier.  Sometimes A, but not B or C.

With larger tournies, such as GBO, Shunga Nunga, etc., tightening up the fairways and extending them is part of the tournament experience.  Admittedly, I tend to shoot below my rating on longer holes, mandos, OB rope, etc.  However, I enjoy them more when they are utilized in a tournament.  If I want to play the normal course, I go to league or have a casual but serious round with my friends.  For tournaments, I personally want the difficulty kicked up a notch.

For the KCWO 2013 when I was spotting on that hole for Pro Masters, it was called safe.  Per the TD in attendance.

I personally update DGCR courses with conditions every time I play a course.

we may be strapped for time. so, I'll set up cards of 3 instead of 4. If you are known as a slower player, try to step it up a bit. I'll try to send some cards out early. If you play slow, come earlier so I can send you out earlier. Will also need to send some people to drive to the other side of the course to spread it out.

OK, more details.

Hole A is to the left of Standard 1.  It goes down hill.
Hole B comes back up the hill to the practice basket near the playground.
Holes 1-3 are normal
Hole 4 plays to 5's basket.
(skip teepad 5)
Hole 6-16 normal
Hole 17 to 12's peninsula's basket
Hole 18

There will be mandos set up to protect players, such as on hole 3 that will prevent you from playing from hole 2's fairway if you venture too far right.  Other mando's I'm sure.

OH BOY, DO WE HAVE SOMETHING SPECIAL FOR WWW AT WW ON 7/16!

Water Works will be set up for the Midwest Am Champs for the July 16th edition of Wider Wander Wednesdays.

Part of the changes planned for the special layout.

...19 holes...with 2 temporary holes.

Hole 4 will tee to Hole 5's basket (sorry Peace sign)

Temporary hole to the left of normal hole 1.

Temporary hole across road that utilizes the practice basket.

Hole 17 pad to hole 12's peninsula placement.

Sorry CD - I don't think you're going to shoot under your age this time.

It's my understanding this MAC set up will not remain set up after tomorrow.  This may be one of the few chances to play the 19 Hole WW 'Gold' layout.

Longview - Perry Lake - Ozawkie, KS / Re: Perry Lake, Longview

Also, sometimes DGCR can help for course conditions.  If you have an account, you can update the conditions for the courses yourself.

Unfortunately, it looks like the last update for Longview was myself when I played it last April.

THIS IS THE OUTSTANDING PRIZE MONEY THAT HAS NOT BEEN COLLECTED

4/2 Heath Kinton, $4 KCKash
6/18 Kitz Siebert, $5.50
6/25 Ryan Kuecker, $5 KCKash
7/2 Matt Crowe, $8 KCKash
7/2 Andrew Stomps, $4 KCKash
7/9 Jordan Hinck, $10
7/9 Matt Perry, $4
7/9 SteelerDoug Kroll, $4

Please don't ask me to give it to someone to give it to you.  Come and get it at league.  When you do come, ask me for it as I'm probably not thinking of who I owe money to, but who is checking in, scorecards, etc.

Thanks, I appreciate it.

At the end of the current 10-week session (we are on week 3), if not collected, it is forfeited.
