The whole time Doug Keeler and I have talked about having this set up to the absolute longest it will go.  To the tippy tips.  I trust him that has been done.  The only hole I'm just a little bit iffy on would be Hole 7.  There was talk about finishing the Black/Red placement and I thought I read that it was done, but I can't find the reference now.  So I'm not 101% sure.  More like maybe 89% sure it was done.

It's going to be a rough day.  To all players, I would highly recommend you come prepared with warm clothes, hand warmers, caps, etc.  If need to, park your car somewhere strategic to pick up or drop off clothing and food.  This will be an iron man single round.

Grip Equipment bags are on their way! At least two bags will be given away after the tournament as the Ace / CTP Fund. One will be your choice of a Paul McBeth SE or the AX15 - Camo. The other will be a C14 - black. All bags come with a lifetime warranty registration card.

How do you win one of these awesome bags? Pay the $5 Ace fund during registration or the morning of during check in. If one person gets an Ace, they choose their bag and we do a modified CTP game after second round for the second bag. If two people get an Ace, those two people get a bag. If three or more people get an Ace, those players will do a CTP game after second round. The CTP is a modified CTP in that there is a hierarchy of hits or misses.

Generally the line is 100-150 feet.
 An Ace trumps
 A Chain Out which trumps
Hitting top band or basket which trumps
 Hitting the pole.
If nobody hits metal, then it is actual CTP.

The person that hits chains but spits out 20' is higher than someone who slides up to within 1 foot of the pole.

So...are you an aggressive player and go for it, and possible miss all, or do you play safe and slide up to the pole?

As of this post, only 23 total spots are open, 18 pro spots are open.

The monster to dominate is more than just the course.  It is your will vs. the elements, competitors, desire to be home watching sports instead of playing sports.

Who's going to tame this Big Blue Monster?

I'm not really sure what to say about that.

As much as I do not think the Chiefs bye week should come into play and the championships should simply be set every year to a specific week, like the 1st weekend in Nov.  With so many football games being played on Thursday's and Monday's perhaps those should be also considered if the Chiefs have one scheduled next year during the time frame considered.

I agree with Duane.  As a club, a date should be picked and set.  Not all disc golfers are NFL watchers.

Definitely intending to play some of these once my ankle is stronger.

I would request the KCFDC BOD actually decide on the Club Championships in April or May instead of waiting until October.

Thank you.

In case it wasn't noticed, this tournament will be capped at 76.  Normal 72 plus 4 additional Pro slots if there is a total of 4 pro cards.

Max 4 pro cards of 5 = 20
14 Am cards of 4 = 56
76 total

I did this to help relieve congestion on some holes that we experienced last year by keeping the cards smaller thereby playing faster.  I kept the pro cards as 5 as they generally do play faster (less errant shots) and to increase the potential for pro payouts.

Although this is a C/B tier, there is $200 added cash to pro divisions.

Last year this sold out at 90.  With a cap of 76...

Sorry, I'm brewing that day.

Confirmed with the PDGA, if you want to earn pro points for the 2016 Pro Worlds in Emporia, you need to play in the Gold division.
