So what's the 2nd rd gonna be like?

Ty Rob.

The pins will not move through out the weekend.  All four rounds the same.  Otherwise we would have to move them three times - not fun.

Longview pins are set for the tournament!

2 short left 285 ft (3)
3 long 521 ft (5)
4 short 303 ft (3)
5 short 398 ft (3)
6 short 209 ft (3)
7 middle 254 ft (3)
8 long 306 ft (3)
9 short 228 ft (3)
10 long 327 ft (3)

12 long 591 ft (4)
13 short left top of hill 248 ft (3)
14 middle left 269 ft (3)
15 short on dam 209 ft (3)

17 middle 333 ft (3)
18 middle 351 ft (3)
Totals (Dist./Par): 5977 ft / 59
Front nine par 29 and back nine par 30.

Weather looks to be very pleasant.  Even a tad warm on Sunday.

25 spots left for Saturday, 14 left for Sunday.

We're over 90 for the two days combined.  29 left on Saturday, 25 left on Sunday. If weather forecast is good, I do expect both days to fill.

nice flyer

Between the two days, we are exactly half full. 41 left on Saturday, 31 left on Sunday. If weather forecast is good, I do expect both days to fill.

If I had to go with just one per category it would be this.  Otherwise, besides my putter, I carry an understable, stable, and overstable for each category and they are usually different molds.

Putter - Innova Yeti Aviar 175
Mid - Dynamic Discs Truth 175
Fairway - Innova Echo Star Teebird 170
Driver - Innova extra gummy Glow Champion Destroyer 168

The (Topeka) club will be having a workday April 16th for the Clinton lake course in the Bloomington Park area. We Will meet at the Lake Shawnee disc golf parking lot at 8:30 so we can be at the course around 9:00 to work. We will need chainsaws, rakes and if anybody has a pole saw, work gloves and boots. We will be cleaning up holes that are close to being done and removing trees from holes that need cleared. I would love to see the number of workers to be many so we can get this course completed and in the ground so we can enjoy our work. Any questions can be directed to me Kent Bryan at 785-249-0803 or post on this page and I will try to address issues. If you don't have the tools come any way we need the man power or directions if you can't make it at 9:00. Thanks Kent dawn to dusk disc club pres.

Had a good discussion this past weekend on relief and lies.  Good stuff here to look over.

As info, the dates listed do not conform to 6 week minimum, or 10 week maximum for sanctioned leagues.  The last two sections of this page link provides the parameters.

If this is anywhere near as good as Longview I can't wait.

I think it may be a bit tamer than Longview from what I could tell. Although it is vey very early in process.

I was told the baskets will be powder coated Mach IIIs

Same ranger that installed the Longview Course at Perry Lake is installing a new course at Bloomington Park on the west side of Clinton Lake west of Lawrence.  Technically, this is Clinton, KS.  Kent Bryan helped lay out the course itself.

Should be open mid-summer?

Tee pads have been poured. Some clearing has been done. This course is more open and less maintenance then Longview is. Very nice tee pads. From what I could tell, some wooded holes, some wide open holes, good use of elevation. Easily accessible to other park features like camping, etc., so I think it will be used more by people just getting into the game.

From what I can tell, several holes will be in this area.  I'm certain the grass will be mowed down.

Just thinking about Am Side?

I'm super stoked that Selinske Masters and AM Worlds are so close for 2017.

I do find it very interesting pick for AM Worlds though.  I do think Chase Roberts and crew will do a wonderful job hosting.  I am surprised though with 2016 in Madison, WI, the next location of Davenport/Moline IA/IL is very close.  If I was a west, east or south coast player, I would be disappointed that it seems like it is stuck in the midwest.

2013 - Emporia, KS
2014 - St. Paul, MN
2015 - Kalamazoo, MI
2016 - Madison, WI
2017 - Quad Cities IA/IL.

Last time it was anywhere close to the west coast was 2005 in Flagstaff, AZ and then before that 1994 in Sacramento, CA.

But, I'm not disappointed.  :)
