So what day if any is Wyco league?

BOD is discussing it.  We should have a resolution soon.

Yeah, I noticed that too.  I had one round change from a 690 round to a 850 round.  Quite the difference.  I also had a couple 910 rounds drop to 880 ish.

Sorry I was such a wanker and forgot my tag at home.  Really, I did.

Nice to meet Mark and everyone else.

I doubt I'll make it too often this year, I had a rare night when I didn't have to pick up my daughter.

Well, the 4 people who go to Wyco league must've spoken really loudly! ;D
Mike, have I told you lately how much I miss drinking Busch Light with you?

The 'TBD' implied there would be an encouragement for Am's.  If it's on pure average than obviously a pro would win, which isn't very Am friendly.  If we are looking at raw scores, I would think averaging the rating instead of the raw score when using multiple courses and pin placements would be the truer measurement.

Then again, one could also use the PDGA Points as the determination which would mean Matt Crowe would lead everyone regardless of division with 95 points, even higher than Jose Ossa.  I guess not having it clear before it was started sure added some confusion.

But hey, that's your call, right, since you ran the league?  I mean, I applaud you for stepping up and taking on change by running KC's first PDGA sanctioned league.  Kuddos.

PDGA 10-week session has been sanctioned:

Cliff Drive / Re: 2014-The Extrodinary Leagues of the Northeast

You will need to be in attendance for at least 6 of the 10 weeks to qualify for the "series award" (TBD, but I will have something)  I would also encourage more participation for Am's in this series as well this upcoming year.

This year I also plan on giving away "league trophies" for those that make it to at least 13 leagues for some varying averages, attendance, and work day partners.  Some will be subjective scoring, and others will be based on stats.  No PDGA league this year will happen unless someone else wants to run it at Cliff, we will allow it (you would only pay $1 to that person extra) if someone steps up to do.  Otherwise we will be a KCFDC and Cliff Drive/Blue Valley ONLY league.

I'm still waiting for the 'TBD' series award from Spring 2013.  I was the only player to show up all 10 weeks.

Will KCWO WyCo play the same layout as the Kan-U-Wyco did?  If not, what changes will be made?

You know you are an addict when you play Angry Birds and right before the birds hit your left side of your torso jerks like you are snapping a disc.

WYCO / Re: Moving league to Wednesday?

All those signs put up around the city will be wrong if league nights are swapped around.

Valid concern.  A cost effective solution was discussed.

Hello Pete,

The conversation is scattered all over the place.

Originally this conversation started with me asking if any current leagues were interested in sanctioning a PDGA league.  There was quite a bit of positive comments about having a PDGA league.  The two more popular suggestions were either a rotating league or moving WyCo to mid-week. That discussion is found here:

Some league directors have expressed interest, but specific action was not being fully communicated.

The conversation was kind of all over the place, so to bring some structure I posted a poll found here:

Both of which were found under the League section of the forum.

Meanwhile, Timko was asking for a WyCo league director found in the Wyco subsection, found here:

It would appear from Timko's request, that any Wyco Friday players were unwilling or unknowing about the need for a league director.  I offered to run the league, but not on Fridays.  Married with kids, I'm not interested in playing on a Friday night.

Thinking that the discussion was properly vetted online and those that had an opinion would have communicated their opinion, I brought it to the last BOD meeting.

At the BOD Wednesday Wyco was the determined best choice based on the impacts on other leagues.

After it was announced, including here:

some individuals started to speak up stating they didn't know about it because the conversation was not listed under the Wyco course listings.  So, I put out one more thread to gain public comments under the Wyco course heading here:

Now, we have another comment thread (this one) under General - neither under the League or Wyco Course subforums.

Wow.  This is all over the place, isn't it?

My enthusiasm is quickly draining.

Getting back to the *original* question - does any current league director want to run a PDGA league?  If so, for God's sake, please speak up.  If not, I'm willing to do so.  If I do it, it has to be Monday or Wednesday.  I cannot commit to any other night for 10 weeks straight.  I'm not interested in Cliff - I'd rather not get into it so don't ask.

While the numbers may be off a tad towards the bottom, and the numbers don't actually give a 100% picture of attendance because it would only show non-members playing and not members, it does give an indication to the attendance level overall.

Actually, I think members should have more of a say than non-members.  It is ran and supported by the club.  But without some data mining, it does help the discussion.
