I don't mind Ottawa's triangular concrete markers.   Tee off behind, aside of, or on them.  I used to like that course a lot, primarily because for me it's only a 20 minute drive and there is never anybody on the course.  I find it a bit boring now.

Think we've only played Lawrence Centennial once.
Clinton Lake is defunct.  Some of the baskets were stolen so the park pulled the  rest (from what I heard).
I personally like Atchison's 9 & 18, but it is a bit of a drive.

In-laws are going to be here sometime this weekend so I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it or not.

Another notable was Andrew Walters improving 90 positions from 124th last year to 34th this year.  He was just out of the cash, but that was a heck of an improvement over a year.

Yes it was, good job Andrew

Rob, Did you get to taste the TallGrass not-yet-released IPA called Ethos?

That was tasty.

Nope.  Jeff Gill was talking about it, but didn't know it was around anywhere.

Good beers at GBO this weekend.  They had a Firkin on Saturday that was a Halcyon Wheat with additional Columbus & Cascade dry hopped and some bitter orange peel.
Then on Sunday they were pushing Halcyon through a Randal (hop back) with Cascade hops and a sliced up grapefruit.  Very tasty.

Tony = KCDiscDawg?

Tony hit an Ace.  WOW!  And to think you almost missed the very last card if it wasn't for Jack and I yelling at CD and Van to let you join on hole 1.

Seriously, good job Tony.  Wished we stuck around for another few holes to hear the hollerin'.

I like the Inner Game of (Home)Brew.
(Home) is optional.

General Banter / 1985 Discraft Phantom
« on: April 05, 2013, 11:17:49 AM »
Playing with a co-worker last night in preparation for the KCCC at the end of the month.  He hasn't played DG for 5 years.

He pulls out a 1985 Tulsa OK Pro Worlds Discraft Phantom and throws it almost the whole round.

That beats my 1987 Discraft Cruiser that I played with in 2005 as the oldest disc I've seen still in play.  My Cruiser is now retired and hanging on my wall.

He also had 2 old Rocs.  One was a big bird red roc with a lot of ink all over top and bottom and a couple others I didn't recall.

So for those of us that don't know, what is the black line through people's name mean?

Kudos on the list, join date would be cool if you had it.

I unloaded my bag on hole nine and forgot to pick up a pink/red bar stamp buzz. It has ozorkiewicz right under the discraft stamp and my number on the bottom. Same offer as always $$ for return or punch in the face if I catch you with it. God bless

I love that disc!  I'm going to go find it, and then avoid Oz for a super long time

Jordan - I agree and understand.

This week I dished out and received a bit more criticism than what was warranted.
As info, I also started to discuss privately with Jack about the PDGA league so it wasn't displayed for all.  And for the record, I totally understand that it is Jack's deal and he can do whatever he wants with it, I am trying to help learn the process as well.

In all seriousness Jordan, you have a good point.

Reminds me of a saying that some may have heard,

"When people say, hey Bob is a great guy when you get to know him, what they really mean to say is Bob is a @#$%, but you just get used to it."

May we all get used to each other.
