Does it affect anyone's opinion that Wysocki is hurt?

you mean "hurt" as in beat a course record TWICE last week "Hurt"?

what Tank said.

....and if you really suck, you play earlier so you can watch the big guns play later.  Not that I would know, just speculating.

How long will the Gold layout be set up?  Couldn't make it last night, would like to play before it is taken down.

Van-I'm there at Swope Sunday morning round.

I'm already signed up for Saturday afternoon and Sunday AM at Swope.

Was intending to help Saturday afternoon at WW.  I could also help Saturday morning at WW if I get that voice mail message that is suggested.  Or lunch and beer.  I wouldn't refuse free KCWO either.  Try to give me a back rub and I will punch you in the face.  Any lullabies better be by Debbie Boon.

If WW isn't the 'need', I could switch to Rosedale Saturday.

Who do I want to win?

Who do I think will win?

Let me paraphrase what you really meant.

winner Rob Martin (with a ) perfect 152 over!

Friday there was an older gentleman with a red pickup truck hauling crushed up asphalt around Rosedale.  Anybody know who this was?  The guys in FTL did not.

Played this course 6/6 - first time since Frostbreaker.  The course is in the best condition I've ever seen it.  Grass was mowed very well, clear cut fairways, tall grass not super ridiculous, not dusty and dry like last year or overly sloppy wet.

I was impressed.

715 an event the day of various course cleanups for KCWO.  Way to support the local disc club.

So... is this an AM only event?

Cooper - this was my very first tournament.  It's part of the Kansas State (the state, not the university) Games (Sunflower Games).  The event coordinators for this particular event is ran by the Nordgren brothers.  Since it is not PDGA approved, Pro vs. Am is irrelevant.  There is no cash payout, but they did give away merch for the top few places for each division - usually Discraft stuff they have in stock.

For future consideration....

I understand the idea of wanting to keep the courses relatively close.
Also understand people's desire to showcase their local course and the work they do on it.

I also understand how some municipalities may or may not want to host large tournaments on their park properties and the politics that could get involved.

I also have heard rumblings that some touring pros don't like it when an established tournament keeps changing the courses year after year.  They want continuity.

I think what makes KC unique is the quantity and quality of the courses.  We don't have to be like the others always using the same 1 or 2 courses every year (Memorial, Steady Ed, etc.)

Maybe just a consideration....

Have one KCWO primarly East courses.  Young, Legacy, etc.

Next KCWO have primarily SW courses, PC, SMP, Olathe Lake.

Next KCWO have primarily north central courses, WW, WyCo, etc.

Far north courses,

Just a thought.

Tournaments / Re: 2013 Midwest Amateur Championships

Same day has nothing to do with it jack...very poor argument.

When is the last time PC, Lakeside or Wyco was used in a tourney?  March
When is the next time those will be used?  Sept....?
How many times will WW, Rosey and Swope be used in that gap?  Too Many

I guess if those courses had more tourneys though then I would be playing on a dirt field instead of nice grass.  So I guess you can keep your same old crap.

Feel free to throw in Blue Springs and Lee Summit as well do you don't try to use the KS bias card.

It's amazing when someone feels the need to judge a person’s opinion....I had the same thing happen with Rob on the cost of worlds.    Rob, condescending and disrespectful remarks are probably more of a hindrance than an opinion.

*clearing throat* Ahem

Stop hindering sir

You will need to be in attendance for at least 6 of the 10 weeks to qualify for the "series award" (TBD, but I will have something)  I would also encourage more participation for Am's in this series as well this upcoming year.

Has this been determined?
