Legacy Park - Lee's Summit / 7-19 Dubs
« on: July 19, 2013, 08:53:23 am »
Random dubs tonight at legacy. Last chance to putt on discatchers with old rusty chain. Everyone needs to take notes on how many putts sneak out tonight & then compare it to next week with brand new chains. Let's get a distinctive answer on this whole basket catching discussion.  :P

Draw cards at 6, sending out cards immediately after. Next week the FTL is going to join us. We will have refreshments (a few of Palmers favorite beers Yeungling ), burgers & such, & a few cash $$$$  CTP's .

When did I become Jordan H2? Ha

You have always been Jordan H #2 in my books  ;D

I think we should come up with some nick names though. I was thinking if you & Bowen get paired up again David Blaine & Chris Angel would fit  ;)

Had a blast. Thanks for putting it on! For what its worth. I used to run league in Blue Springs and no matter what you do someone will complain. Do what is in your comfort zone as far as how you run your show. Lots of folks like to complain but until they step up and run a league then they are just talking heads. Keep up the good work man!

Good to hear Eric, lets keep these good times rollin!!!

but there is a large group out there that plays dubs on Fridays and they don't really seem to want to do the club thing.

For what it's worth, as usual, I will be soliciting interest in the club singles league and if I can get enough people interested, we'll see what happens.

I'll say this, I am not against the doubles crew being a club activity if that is what the group wants to do. I said before in previous threads that doubles is what a lot of Legacy patrons would like to do & I think that would get attendance up. However since I do not run the club league I have little control over that & since there is a good group who want to do doubles that is exactly what we are going to do. Last week we had 26 out & week before 25. I would love to promote it on here & make it 50 but I didn't think it would be cooth to take away from any promoting the Club wants to do for its singles league.

it may be politically correct to post up in the "courses not affiliated with the kcfdc" section.

I don't think he can post anymore...the user id "milenorthkcmo" looks to be suspended. It shows him as a guest now instead of a novice poster or whatever it use to say

Went to rosie and played a casual with Kevin zane around 11am. I threw a meteor straight in the chains on hole 3. He signs my disk and then steps up on hole 7 and hyzers a gator for one of his own. 2 aces in one round. F ya. Thanks swade for the energy bar

Hell yeah spinachio .... Is that your 2nd ace on hole 3 @ Rosie ?

Is the Youngle attendance really that bad? The scores posted for the last couple weeks have 14 & 15 people out for league.

Any chance of doubles coming back to Friday nights?
The other half really enjoyed getting the chance watch & learn from the better players.

Or they enjoyed winning money by drawing one of the long bombers.

Some maybe but this is Lees Scummit & we burn $100 bills in the fireplace during summertime for fun!

It would be fun if people actually showed up at all. The 2 nights I ran league we had 6 people, 2 of them wanted to play am but didn't have a third to open the division so they played open to "donate" and have a good time. Meanwhile, I believe there were at least a dozen people playing on the course that would've thrown $7 down last year for random draw dubs that didn't want to play for KC Kash.  Personally, I don't really think the pay structure of KCFDC league is a real money maker so I mostly attend to have a good time and get some practice doing it.  I'd even entertain the idea of playing doubles if enough people showed up, but I don't think there's a payout structure setup with club for that. If you want to play doubles in the summer, they play every Sunday at 12:30 at Phill.

You're the one running the league so I say do it how you want to. I am just stating what I hear from many of Legacy Patrons. I would think more people = more payout even if it was doubles.
