General Banter / Friday Traveling League 4/12/13 - ON THURSDAY EMPORIA (GBO)

Several of us will be in Emporia on Thursday playing/checking out the MUNI and CC temp courses for the GBO.
We hope to play both courses or one and Jones West. If anyone can make it and wants to play reply here. Otherwise we will postpone Friday Traveling League until next week (4/19/13)

CC and MUNI courses will cost $5 to play during week. Golf carts are available for rental!

Found and Lost / orange blizzard katana at cliff dr. 10

Through ob across street off 18 onto grass by light post near 10 left side fairwy. Shot my next from spot inbounds and forgot to pick up the katana. Name and phone# on disc are Caleb Jarratt, my son in law. If I don't find it he will hold all the discs he finds at pc and old pike lakes.

Weather is turning nice for Friday . . . surely will be sloppy muddy but in the high 50s!!!

AM round at Swope 8:30am - may be just casual warm up, or we can go all in tags!!

PM round at Cliff Dr. 12:30/1pm - let's try to get started early and get done before 4pm. (We all have a very important dinner appointment at around 5pm - Wolverine is on the menu).

Caleb j. lost his beast throwing accross the lake late fall. Hit the tree and dropped straight down in lake. He will be swimming soon to find it, unless someone has been in already.

I surveyed a few courses and the ones I drove by all the pads were covered deep. Some parking lots were still unplowed.

Also, since I have missed 3 days of work in the last two weeks, I will be working Friday morning.

So your on your own, grab a shovel and a few friends and play for tags. I might try to make it out Friday afternoon and/or Saturday. See you then?

By the way, Manhattan Kansas got missed by the last snow storm. Take a trip and go play Werner park or Tuttle Creek. There are only small patches of snow and the pads should all be safe.

Weather will be nasty Thursday and cold over night. Lows in teens and high only 29 on Friday.

Thoughts on Swope (latest pole winner) or take a week off???

Or do you want to take a chance at Jesse James? (One rounder on Sunday)

My vote take a week off. Let's hit swope on the 1st March and then Wyco on the 8th (prep for KanUWyco)

Found and Lost / Yellow Nuke turned in at Ice Bowl

I left my yellow Nuke on the 18 fairway at Ice Bowl. A gentlemen Jason called when he found it. However, I had not put my new personal phone number on it so I didn't get the message until Tuesday.

Jason said that he turned it at the scorer's table on Sunday. I have spoken with Rick at DGWorld and Mike P. who was co-director. Mike talked to Ben C. Mysteriously, no one has seen my misprent Nuke since Jason.


Anyone know what might have happened to my go to flick driver: 172ish Yellow Nuke misprint. I would appreciate it.
