Sooooo....all holes are reachable except hole one.   ;D

I went through the pics on dgcourse review to refresh my memory. There are a few in the woods that could be hit. I remember I did get three birdies in a row. (5,6,7 or 6,7,8) Those are probably the most probable. There are several that have looong narrow fairways with low cielings and/or hard doglegs that make aces improbable. There are few that could possibly be hit if you throw 400+ with great accuracy and a lot of luck.

2 - 450 - long straight fairway with low cieling
3 - 325, long straight fairway with low cieling and dog leg at end
4 - 475 - basket tucked in gap in woods on right (possible for a long lefty or a 475 anny/flick?)
5 - possible - 235 - similar to down under
6 - 250 possible - down under
7 - possible - down under
8 - most probably - most open and short (surprised someone has not hit this one)
9 - possible? 330 straight and narrow with low cieling
10 possible? 285 with dogleg right
11 492 - out of woods over 40' deep and 200' wide drainage ditch up over dike and into a clump of trees (this is the whole other than one that I remember most distinctly - I did not like this hole, maybe because I didn't play it well)
12 342 - with hard dogleg right - into the woods
13 265 - heavily wooded with lots of small trees - possible with lots of luck
14 - 420 in heavy woods
15 - 323 - behind gaurdian trees
16- 315 - long narrow low cieling with gaurdian trees
17 - 405 with a hard dogleg right at about 250-275 (or through/over? trees)
18 - 357 possible for loong arms if you hit the small gap in the tree line

So I guess there are several possibilities - but to say all but one - no way.
But after review - it is surprising that the ace fund there is sooo big.

(have you played it?)

Thanks Jack, this is the kind of well informed, thoughtful, and positive dialogue we shouldand ccan have.

I like the idea of a standing position on the board for the business owners. Voting or not, I'm not sure. I do think that our BoD has been pretty good at considering the input from the business folks as well as any members and visitors. At least that is my limited experience.

We always have the option to vote for folks who are/ are not business to be on the board.

List of names of those who played all three rounds has been PM'd to Scott Reek. You should be able to redeem at the store.

There were three folks that I didn't get last names for . . . please get them to me, if it is you, or you know them.

Jon
Bill
Zac
(all played together all three rounds)

Thanks.

This past June, on a foggy windy afternoon, I gently tossed my putter, and it took off for about 300 ft.

I was on top of a lookout at the peak of El Yunque in Puerto Rico. (it was windy and we did finally retreive said putter)

Thomas Park in Salina has a Sunday league with an ace pool around 2200 bucks

I've only played Thomas once . . . I don't remember seeing any aceable holes.

As long as it stays civil, I believe the forum is a perfect place to discuss this. I for example, think through things better when I have time to read the issues, do a little research, hear both sides . . .

often in a meeting situation (especially at a large club election/dinner/swap meet/ . . .) the issues are not well presented and discusssed. Often lots of emotion and no time for reflection.

So far, I am still undecided, so keep up the good discussion. (or you can slip me some $$$, just before the vote  ;)  ;D )
