Tournaments / Re: 2017 Schedule for Kansas City and surrounding areas
« on: December 22, 2016, 06:18:45 AM »
Eastern Front (unsanctioned)
Open/ladies  $20
Am/ladies $15
Rec/ladies $10
Divisions for mini campaign (each battle)
Each mini campaign will be 2 rounds except Blue Valley
The final Battle will be 1 round at Wilbur young an 1 round at Pleasant Hill
Final Battle will be a different entry fee, there will be a small players pack, an beer sponsor, etc...
There will be an overall Eastern Front champion for each division. This will be based off of best 6 rounds, must play in same division throughout the season to qualify. There will be a handicap for each mini campaign that a player has competed in. This is the basic idea, more details to come.

I hold glow rounds at Swope during the off season, we also hold random rounds during the summer, that don't interfere with other events. FB page Swope tree glow.

I will admit, when I first heard this news I felt the same as husker ben. I definitely have an emotional attachment to swope park, an this news is a tuff pill to swallow.  Progress is always inevitable, an the fact that the trees at swope are dying at an alarming rate, I feel this announcement is welcoming news. I'm excited to here the coming news for the future of DG in swope park, an can't wait to add my contributions in anyway I can. I would like to thank the board members that took the time to answer my questions an concerns, you know who you are.

This doesn't sound very promising. I would hate to lose Swope or even a part of it.

Maybe have more people to finish off the beer next year? Other than that, I look forward to volunteering my time!
