I have been working with Greg or the last year on this project for McLouth and they have come a long way. They are very excited and energetic group and It has been a blast to help them with establishing the team. The course is a short challenging course and a lot of fun with tight tunnel shots and a few open shots.
I will be there on June 22nd and will be posting more information on it as soon as I get it. The course went in last summer but they are calling this the Grand Opening of the course and want to see a good showing so they can show the community the value of disc golf in their area.
Plans for the additional 9 are in the works, but there is not a timeline for it as of yet.
We are at 105 players as of now and the course is looking good. i was out there today and walked the course again.
Hole #15 at Woodhenge will play the path as a river so if you land on it, you would be OB. There is a very small section of inbounds on the other side of the path until you clear the trees and then it opens up quite a bit on the left.
#12 at Woodhenge is painted OB behind the boulders
#8 at Woodhenge as OB painted along the top of the ravine to make for a very tight short hole.
I will have water out there but you should make sure you have plenty of water and you might consider some food as there are not a lot of food choices.
Also again do not forget you have to pay to get into the park. There should be an attendant but if there is not, please pay at the honesty drop box. This was a cheaper option than a per person fee and it is what the parks requested.
Due to the rapid increase in registration, we are going to split the courses to allow more players. There will now be 2 pools with one pool playing one course while the other pool plays the other course and then switches for the second round ... if you are planning on playing please pre register still to make for a smoother check in process on the day of the event.
