Beginners / Re: New Players League - Monday's
« on: November 25, 2014, 09:34:24 pm »
For the last two years I've run a new players league at P Hill. We have men, woman and kids that play there. It has been on Thursday nights up to this point. Averaged between 10-18 people a week.

I realize Ive only been playing this kickass sport for 3 years, but would the solution be to stop craming courses in anywhere we can get an inch of land. We are lucky enough to have an abundance of courses as it is. Let's focus on one of the 30 courses we have and not putting courses where there are mountain bike trails, soccer fields, and other areas that will cause problems. If we need bells and whistles on our courses for safety something is wrong.

Yea the long placements aren't exactly league friendly this time of year. Just made us appreciate P Hill alittle more!

General Banter / Re: Raymore course, why go?
« on: September 24, 2014, 09:19:57 am »
I'm not upset. Just forewarning people who want to go there and play that from my experience and from others I'm told that you could have a problem playing all 9 holes. P Hill shuts down once a year this happens several time a week I'm told.  No biggie, plenty of courses to choose from.

General Banter / Raymore course, why go?
« on: September 23, 2014, 07:58:44 pm »
Just played the fastest round ever. Probably because it's a nine hole course or because it had soccer and football practices on holes 1,4,5,6 and 9. So tonight it is a 4 hole course. I spoke with several coaches and they are all P&R teams. They all said that the p&r dept decides where the practice and that's where they were told to go. On the upside I met an elderly gentleman and his wife with their grandson trying to figure out disc golf for the first time. Got to spend 45 minutes with them playing what holes we could. So there is Definitly people seeing the new course.
