Small turnout for an incredibly beautiful night.

Ctp plastic was won by bobby.
On a more disappointing note, in the last 4 days we have had two benches and one picnic table broke. Along with an over abundance of bud light and pbr cans scattered across the course and directly under baskets. Feelin the love out there right now.

Pleasant Hill / 5/15 new players league
« on: May 16, 2014, 05:52:06 pm »
I started this league last year because I was constantly meeting new players on the east side of town that wanted to improve and learn the game. It is the same idea as the rosedale league from my experience. So all the players that come out that know what they are doing please remember these leagues are for fun and to help educate men, women and kids.

This Thursday is the first night of New Players League at Pleasant Hill. Tee off at 545, be there by 530 to get on a card. This a free league, a good way to learn the ins and outs of the sport. There will be a weekly CTP for platic this year also.

General Banter / Pdga ratings, I don't get it.
« on: March 17, 2014, 06:00:23 pm »
Apparently I need some edumacation when it comes to ratings, and I'm sure there are several of you who can help.  Before the frostbreaker my rating was 883.  Then I shot a 930 and a 931 rounds. As of today the round ratings were changed to 908 and 917.  And my 883 stayed the same. In my head this math doesn't compute.

Old Pike / Great course
« on: January 12, 2014, 05:54:21 pm »
Played Old Pike today for the first time. Loved this course. Probably in my top 3 favorites in Kc. I can only imagine how much it changes with leaves on the trees.

Found and Lost / Lost and found at P Hill
« on: December 28, 2013, 05:17:59 pm »
Hole one at  P Hill caught a bad head wind and landed my blizzard destroyer 15 ft out on the ice. After the round I went home got a rake and a rope to retrieve it. When I got there someone had already gotten mine but there was another one out there that I was able to get get. So if you threw one on the lake pm me, there was no name or number. And since I haven't gotten a call on mine I will let karma deal with that person.

General Banter / Jammed locks
« on: December 17, 2013, 06:20:31 pm »
Need some suggestions on locks that either barely work or won't unlock. Looking for suggestions other than bolt cutters and replacement since it seems that would be expensive.

Water Works / WW hole #13
« on: November 20, 2013, 04:52:44 pm »
So today I went to a home to do an estimate for work, happened to be the house that backs up to hole 13 at WW that has the sand volleyball court in their back yard. Once I told them I played they had great things to say about all the people that they see daily from their back deck. The only thing they could mention was they installed a gate with a sign saying please use gate, so when someone needed to get a disc back they wouldn't damage their fence. The say people still climb the fence and end up breaking it. So please if you go in their yard, use the gate. Along with that they have accumulated over 100 discs that people didn't retrieve. I looked thru about Half and saw several names I recognize. They are willing to sell the discs back for a dollar each. I bought what I had money for, some with names some without. If it has a name I'll be calling you. I plan on going back when they find the rest they have in their basement a talk them into giving me the rest. Very nice people, they just want a little comp for their fence being trampled.
