Being an August 18th Birthday, I need to come out to a Lions Den event....Just need Jeff-O to babysit my kids =)

To be honest, and being a Rec player moving up to MA2 for this tournament, I played both courses today and though its tough I think its 100% fair. You will absolutely have to use every shot in the book, accurately and or distance wise, to come close to having a good score. To me that's the purpose of this event, to reward the best players who have the best shots on a consistent basis. I think the courses will allow those who are playing their best to score and those who are not will be punished fairly. This will me more of a mental test for most, which will mimic what the pro's go through in their rounds when playing in big tournaments. I'm looking forward to the challenge and wish everyone the best of luck come August 2nd.

T:Minus 1.5 hours till Friday. You guys still playing out in Lawrence? Let the Nailer and I know if you decide to come into town instead.

Wed Nes Day is a bad evening for me, but I will try to make 1 WWL to show support. I might be open for next Wednesday.

I could make the 1pm, someone bring the DEET. Tired of chigger balls.

I lost my Boss at PC tonight left #13 in the wall of thorny hell just beyond the small tree on the left. If anyone with Kevlar decides to go geocaching over there, and finds it, I will owe you an ice cold brew. No need to return, just take a pick, sign it, and mark it on the GPS site.

I lost a blizzard Boss out there a while back...but you can keep it if that's it. I've moved on from Blizzard plastic...and that disc hated me.

Not to interject between you two (Rob & White) but i have been pondering where a solid Disc course could go in Overland Park and I think I have found a great location. Quivira Park. It says that there is 43.33 acres of land there, but let me put an asterisk on that. First, search it on Google maps (the one with the Google earth view). OK so as you can see there is about 90 parking stalls there + restrooms. Just north before 119th street there is Indian creek and it is surrounded by woods on all sides minus the Quivira side. Here's the thing, just south, if you scroll down you will see my place of work (Overland Park Golf Course). MOST of that woods is technically ours so it is not included within the estimated acreage, but with some city convincing it could be used in this circumstance. It has good elevation changes, not like Water Works, but more like Swope, and a few creeks that run through there. I know that our (ball golf) master plan has us cutting new holes through the south east side, but almost none of that woods along the bike hike trail going up to the wee links par 3 course is going to be used. It would take a good architect with great vision, but it would be a great place, in a mostly unused park (because most people just bike and hike from their homes not park and do so around that area). The upsides are that it would be very close to the KU Edwards campus, short distance from a few high schools and JCCC, and in an area that is lacking a true Disc course. I think I will e-mail the parks supervisor tomorrow and run the idea by him, but I wanted to get a little feed back from you all to see what you think?
