General Banter / Re: Coming soon to pc or anywhere there a pond

There are two beautiful stinky ponds at Bad Rock Creek that are just dying to be jumped into

I was in the one off #2 last weekend. Didn't find my disc, but did find a no-namer Opto River. Honestly, my only fear when it comes to these ponds is having a toe bitten off by a snapping turtle. Need to start bringing a pair of old shoes just for pond hopping. ;D

8 more days to purchase tickets.  After July 26th I will pay only for those who pre purchased and will be unable to get tickets in the same section.  I will also be ordering the players packs and will be ordering the amount pre purchased.

Who all is going so far?

General Banter / Re: Destroyer Discussion

I finally broke down and started throwing destroyers because everyone claimed they were the best controllable distance driver you could find.

Funny you should say it like that and it goes to show that there's all kinds of differing opinions on the matter. I wish I could remember who it was we were playing with at Water Works one day a few years ago (I'm not good with the names of all the touring pros). Anyway, I was throwing Destroyers at the time and this touring pro we were playing with suggested I switch to the Wraith because it is much more controllable than the Destroyer. Of course, I'm sure this is all relative to one's skill level and that may have been his line of thinking after watching me throw, which can be downright laughable at times. ;D

General Banter / Re: Courses you never played before

It's always nice revisiting a thread like this. Let's renew it by going through which courses you have yet to play in order of the desire to play them. How lucky are we to have so many choices.
This thread is four years old so you newbies start from the biginning to catch a small glimpse of disc golf history.
Courses I want to play but have yet to do so:
Yates Elementary
Perry Lake
Smithville all 3 courses
Pleasant Ridge Middle School
Baldwin City Lake
Clinton Lake
Melvern Lake
English Landing
Parkville church camp
Jesse James Park, Atchison and MWSU tie
Clover Dell
Last ones because of distance
I hope everyone enjoys me bringing this back up.

Liberty and Kearney are both fun courses, and you definitely need to get up to Smithville.
Yates isn't what it used to be, IMO, as not only did they wreck #1 by fencing it off from where the tee used to be on the sidewalk, but the school has done a piss-poor job of maintaining the course.
English Landing is great for practice because it's open and flat. But it's hella boring. Only thing remotely entertaining is the fact that it's on the river, and you might see some Parkville MILFs or college skanks in yoga pants walking the track when the weather's nice. ;D
Don't think I've been to any of the other courses you listed. Also haven't been to Lakewood or whatever it's called, the one that used to be a ball golf course in Johnson County.

Wizards have a great feel in the hand and hold a line well, but on missed putts they sure like to kick up and roll away.

Sounds like a fun day at the park! Were they using proper hearing/eye protection, I hope?

Merry Christmas to those that celebrate. Happy belated channukah to my tribal peeps. Happy kwanzaa to those that celebrate made up that bullsh1t holiday because Christmas was just too "white" for them. Happy Yule. Etc etc

FTFY and is there any particular reason why we're discussing those other holidays and "holidays" on Christmas, and in a Christmas thread? I sure hope this is not new KCFDC policy.  ???

It all started out as a simple troll attempt. Problem was, the troll attempt succeeded far more than I could've anticipated. ;D
