I would let you hunt our 50 acres up in Macon County, but it's 2.5-3hrs away and there is no shelter on site. You're welcome to try it out, but you'll either have to sleep in your vehicle, pitch a tent, drive 20+ miles to a motel, or just make it a day trip.

Far as I know, the only portion of the trail that actually uses our DG fairways is the part that goes along hole #7.

I guess I don't underdstand the concern when it comes to Cliff Drive. There have been cars, cyclists, joggers, and dog walkers on Cliff Drive and Reservoir Dr for years, and there are holes that play along those roads, and yet we've somehow managed to make disc golf work up to this point. People park along 12 and 13 to party and drink and I cannot recall anyone being hit with a disc, at least not anything resulting in serious injury or damage. It's not as if the MTBers are going to be coming through there every 5 seconds. Maybe common sense isn't common, but I think it's common enough to allow disc golf and MTBing to coexist at Cliff Drive.

I just didn't like the idea of losing DG holes over it. Even if the MTB dudes ride right down the fairway on 7 or 8 at Cliff, it ain't like there's going to be a steady stream of them all day long. Let them ride through and then play the hole, not complicated at all.

John, I got your message, thanks. Obviously I would love to see a course in Independence, but I cannot attend the meeting due to work. There were times I used to look at maps of the city, trying to see where a good spot would be for a course. Hope you guys are successful in pitching the idea!

I am hopeful that Keizer will bring not only his 4 wheeler to help expedite this, but also remember his cables this time.

No problem but what's up with this MAC tournament you're talking about? Are you saying you won't be present at the 8/2 workday due to the tournament? Some coworkers of mine have planned a shooting get-together for that morning as well, which I was going to skip in favor of attending the workday. But if you aren't going to be there to spearhead, I think I'd rather go to the shoot.

Nice to hear the museum is back open. I took the family there a couple years ago, while the renovations were still going on. They did have a few activities for the kids to do, but the reopening was still a couple years away so most everything was closed to the public at the time. I will definitely have to make plans to take the full tour one of these days. Thanks, Anthony! 8)

Pleasant Hill / Re: Finding Morels, While Play, is a Bit Distracting

Sounds like a nice time on the course. The year I found 150 shrooms by the Junior 9 at BV, I was actually taking a buddy for his first ever round of disc golf. Once we got into those morels we decided his first round of disc golf would happen some other time. ;D

They say that about all of their events, don't they?

bring your bike, we'll ride us some cliff trails after the jlowe goodwill tour stop.

My Big Sur is at Biscarri Bros getting a new cassette and full tune-up as we speak. If I'm to sabotage this trail, I'll need to blend in. 8)

Kaizher is definitely in. 8)

Marc Styhals: Out.

Dude, have you seen it out there lately? What a mess. Those people in that neighborhood don't deserve anyone coming out there to break a sweat for them anymore. There's a disc golf course there as a result of lots of peoples' hard work but other than that, what difference has any of it made out there? And then there's the work you'll do that'll end up being pointless when someone decides to put a bike trail in. I've had it up to here. You go ahead and put your work in at Cliff only to have some dirtbag sh1t all over it again afterwards. There are other places where your work will be better appreciated and the fruits of which might actually last.

I've grown tired of doing things for people who don't otherwise give a f*ck.

General Banter / Re: Pdga ratings, I don't get it.
« on: March 17, 2014, 09:19:13 PM »
You wanna talk about not understanding, they gave me a 966 player rating based on one round, which I must've been in miracle mode that day or something. If I would compare myself to other disc golfers who have ratings near 966, then my actual rating should be like 850. ;D
