Hole 3 with a destroyer?! That hole is like 275 right?! Whatever gets the job done haha

Kinda like using an Orc on #11 at Swope, from the short pad. I may have to go back to using drivers on those short ace run holes.:)

I've played courses in the metro Detroit area the past two summers, and the experience was similar to your account of STL. Cool courses and all, but not as cool as KC, and not even close in atmosphere.

Never been into Phish, sounds like good music and that looks like a great place to drop some 'cid! Last time I did that was at the Rush concert in '96, and the visuals from the laser light and computer animation stage show were just incredible. I would have been in trip Heaven with all those glow sticks! ;D

I use a Greasemonkey script to change "Old Pike" to "Swope" on here, that way I never have to read about OP. Ya, rly.

Whoa!  MH and Greasemonkey!  Noice!

Yep, I figure that way, whenever I can attend league on Tuesday, it'll be Swope. OP is a sweet course, just don't care for doubles much.

This was a neat event. Doesn't get anymore laid-back than just showing up whenever you feel like it! Had a nice round going before imploding on #16 and #18. ;D

I'm just lamenting the pathetic turnouts for anything involving work, Eric. The only folks I'm bad mouthing are the users who know who they are.

Once a week would be a ideal, but there are a couple hundred trees that need a bucket each. It's not gonna be possible without help from Mother Nature, I'm afraid. My guess is that the vast majority of these small seedlimgs won't make it. Heck, even the 3 bald cypress trees on #1 are all but dead, and they were larger trees.

The fact is, these parks are all going to be pastures in a few years if more trees aren't planted and cared for. The large mature trees are all at the end of their life cycles, which is why we seem to lose one every time it storms real good. Hopefully it will rain a few times in the coming weeks, and these small seedlings will have a chance to establish themselves.

Found and Lost / Found Avenger at Water Works, off Hole #16
« on: July 20, 2012, 03:36:58 pm »
Found an Avenger down the hill from #16 at Water Works. No name on it. Describe the color, stamp, number of nicks and/or gouges, etc. Nobody ever guesses correctly, will this be the first time? Stay tuned...
