General Banter / Lake of the Ozarks

I am looking for a good track to play this weekend down at the Lake of the Ozarks.  Camdenton are is fine.  Any suggestions on what is good or what to avoid?

I usually take a poll and ask the other players if its in question.  They are usually fair.  If they are not...I leave.

Brian C.  We are playing lakeside in Olathe at 7am.  Come on out.  I'm there right now and its all nicely mowed too in addition to all pads being in.  Last I saw Rosie it was a little long.  Hope to see you.

The Municipal Golf Course in Emporia uses 9 ball golf holes for us to play some truly beautiful golf on. (par 65 for worlds) Emporia Country Club gets absolutely taken over with disc golfers, as they let us use the entire course for some very tough golf. A few holes were made short for worlds, but it's still a blistering, and incredibly difficult par 61.

These courses are only available during tournament time and can usually be played (with golf carts!) up to 2 days before a tournament. After that they go back to Ball Golf. It was a wonderful experience as the entire town of Emporia embraced Disc Golfers for this long week.

NICE!  I thought I saw some photos and it looked like a ball golf course, manicured, fairways, etc.  That is really cool Utz.  Thanks for the info.  I did not know that.

Utz, if you want to see that Gazelle, let me know.  I still have it.  I think we are playing out at Lakeside Sunday at 8am if you are interested.

So looking at some of the photos from this event, is one/two of the courses played on a ball golf course that they converted to a DGC?  If so, is that for this event only?

...but there is a telescope....

Used to be. It is now gone.

That sucks!  I played OP once with some fellas.  I have to say, it was certainly a spectacle, all the gems hidden out there among the course.  It surely is not easy or a rec course (LOL!).

I got some cheap junk shoes from some sporting goods store in Springfield, MO with a reinforced rubber toe and sole.  Pretty sweet.  $30.  Sometimes I walk around in the water in them at that pond at PC.

If you want a picture of them let me know.

Early at Rosie?  7 AM or 8 AM?    Sunday????

sunday early.  let me know.
