Harold has and always will do an awesome job at making this sport fun and competitive in a very friendly manner.  He was one of the first people I met playing league.  An awesome disc golfer with an awesome passion for the sport.  What he gives and offers goes above and beyond.  I really wish I could have played this past weekend but had other commitments.  Those three tracks are awesome and challenging.

Here is a guy who not only started a weekly YEAR ROUND travelling league, but started an annual tournament.  Not to make a buck or for a pat on the back, but because he simply enjoys it and the disc golf community.  Whatever needs to be done to make sure it stays that way, should be.  To hear he was overloaded with some bs at his own tournament is more frustrating than throwing backhand over the pond at pc with a 40 mph wind out of the North while you're covered in burrs and have a tick stuck on your ass.

I can't count how many times I've seen him give people who are new to the game some discs from his trunk at a local track.  Then he goes into detail how to throw them.  Then he plugs the club and other tracks, websites, events, etc.  The guy is beaming with energy when doing so.  That's what makes this community great!

He's also open to suggestions or ideas.  He values your input.  That's a community.  At the very least, he should get out of it what he puts into it; which is to enjoy the game.

How about some motion activated game cameras to catch the people trashing the course and dumping stuff?  Cops use them to catch illegal dumpers and dumpettes.  It might help.  If we can bring the cops the information they need to investigate it might help out with public relations in terms of enforcement.  Just an idea Jack.  Whatdya think?

Save your breath, I know some idiot could have found it elsewhere and thrown it in the pond too.

Found and Lost / Found PC - Pond

If your name is Caleb and you threw some plastic in the pond at PC.  Tell me what you lost and what the number is under your name and The Nailer will return it.

Just another reason the pond needs to be drained.

Tournaments / Re: Tournaments outside of KC/MO area.

KC does it right.  That's why I live here and support the local community.  Great group of people, leaders and just all around fun.  When it comes to DG, hands down, any event I attend, even if it's my own putting clinic, is awesome.  It's planned out well and ran well.  Those putting on events adapt whe the situation calls for them to do so.

Great turnout.  Two people showed.  One left early.  Putting clinic started out good.  Then got bad.  Then returned to good.

Thanks to all who viewed this thread.

There are a few of us getting together for a round at Rosie Sunday at 8am.  Depending upon the time everyone has and the turnout, we may throw Nailer's 27 Holes of Madness.

This is free and so is my putting clinic.

You can thank me for the pond later.

Very true.  The intelligent being who started this thread has a keen eye.  This could crush someone.

On the other hand...While you are talking with parks and rec, bring up the topic of pond draining.  The water there is now dangerously high too.  Don't wait until it overflows or else pc could begin to look like washed out Bella Vista.  Plus, I put another disc in there today.  The wind was too strong and I lost my balance because my legs are uneven.

In this case only, that tree should come first though. (That dangerously high pond may have caused this tree issue too).

Be careful and thank Bitter79 for his keen eye.

The pond is actually too full right now with all of the rain.  If we had drained this back when I brought this up, the thing would be full and everyone would have their plastic back.

Plus I think we need to put in a dock or small pier.

Is this a one rounder?

Also, I'm surprised no one is concerned about playing Water Works. It is the one course where someone broke their ankle after a big rain during the Wide Open.

The Nailer almost broke his yesterday playing out there....good luck to all in the tournament today!

Thankfully one leg is shorter than the other or else I would not have made it to lunch.

Had a great day out there yesterday Dick.  You deserve props for all your work on this.
