not sure how you all do it in paola, but van puts em where they sign up. consider it a showcase for the best women golfers in the kc area. if you'd like to help out, just ask!

black. gold. Showcase!

126
got it. thanks. that clears it all up. let the showcasing begin!

127
ok I get it. kcwo and vibram are the showcase events. and thanks for the clarification about top players. hope hemme, convers, arthur, arturo, et al get a clue soon.
you want something to grow be careful how much you prune it back

The nature of the NT is to showcase the top Men and Women in our sport. So Masters isn't apart of that equation. Is this that big of a deal? You now have less money going toward the PDGA and more going toward your field.
if it was about the money this old dog wouldn't still be chasing plastic. same goes for a lot of mpm and mpg players I'm guessing.
apparently no one else cares so it must not be even a miniscule deal. just asking why. if you don't have the answer feel free not to be offended or post.

129
then I'll ask again without trying to be pc: why are age rejected pros not part of the kcwo nt?

130
ummm... pros?
neither is rudeness my intent. last year 72 played nt, 37 masters plus played a tier. hopefully this year will be different. I've been playing disc golf awhile, never had waits like last year.
just asking why it's set up this way, haven't really gotten an answer. only have 20 years of golf left in me, guess I'll play open until the rest of the tour sees the light and starts doing things the kcwo way.

131
allow me to rephrase: being fully aware and appreciative that we don't all play at the same speed, rules notwithstanding, please consider scheduling the age rejected pro divisions with those of comparable  playing tempos.

Actually I believe it will be NT, A & B again.  You are right we should be Lemmings and just follow the lead of everyone else.  Or you could check out the history of the Wide Open on the front page of the web site and realize that this might just be another innovation started in KC and soon everyone will be following us again
Did you talk to the official on the course about the pace of play at the time or are you just complaining because the tournament didn't cater to YOU?
been here since the first wde open and then some.
the course officials were as aware of it as the players.  I don't expect anybody to carer to ME; rarely cater to myself. while we're patiently waiting for the rest of the disc golf world to catch up   I'll continue to pack the lawn chair and some extra depends.

133
so it looks like nt and a tier again? please consider scheduling the age rejected pro divisions with the younger pros. last year was ridiculous waiting no less than 5 minutes on EVERY hole, more than 30 on some. it got so bad we started carrying full size lawn chairs at swope on saturday.
refresh my memory, how many other nt events shuffled the old folks off to the next lower tier?

Swope is on at 6. Come be Fred's partner, he's due and has the ace fund which should be in the tens of dollars.

had some friends at an ultimate tourney back in the nineties in nashville or memphis. play had been suspended to let the weather pass. the all clear was given by the director, play resumed and the storm came back so fast most of the players didn't have time to run for cover. one guy had a "ball of fire come out of him"; killed him where he stood. another girl spent the better part of six months in a coma, pregnant at first. eventually she was moved to assisted living.
the lucky many were only blown off their feet with a newfound appreciation for lightning. made me a believer as well. don't get me started on wolves.
