Wyco summer minis start April 5th. Based on Sunset times and the traditionally casual slow play, we should keep start times at 5:30 for the month of April.  We'll switch to 6:00 in May.

Travis, I'll see you out there this evening sometime just after 5:00.

There go, Kevin.

Oops, I'll try to work on my reading skills. Haha

So just to clarify: What time should we be there to check in? The league flyer says we start at 6pm, check in at 5:50. Are we trying to start earlier for the sake of daylight?

General Banter / Anyone up for a tag round?
« on: April 03, 2013, 10:28:32 PM »
I posted today looking for a round in the "what tag do you have" thread and was directed here... So let's give it a shot. I just moved back to the area and am looking for some local players who don't mind an extra tagging along. I joined KCFDC and picked up my tag, but haven't had a chance to play for tags yet.
I am available all day tomorrow (Thursday) before 4 pm or so for a round pretty much anywhere. I'm thinking Shawnee/WYCO/Olathe/Rosie?

Not sure if there is a better place to put this, but I just moved back in town and picked up my tag... Is anyone up for a tag round at Wyandotte, PC, Lake Olathe or Shawnee today? I can be there by 130 or 2.
I know I have a pretty high number, so if you'd rather play casual I'll wait until next time I make it to league to put mine up.
Shoot me a PM if you can make it.

Winter Leagues / Re: New league schedule for after Daylight Savings??

I used to live in Olathe and in Manhattan for a while.. I guess we have pretty cool friends and family and decided to come back. Georgia has some awesome disc golf courses, but organized play is pretty minimal around here and the courses are too spread out to make regular trips to surrounding leagues. I know KC keeps it rolling
pretty much constantly, so I'm pretty excited for more frequent organized play... I'm looking forward to playing Birdland at Lake Olathe for the first time and should have no problem making it.

Winter Leagues / New league schedule for after Daylight Savings??
« on: March 13, 2013, 12:33:58 PM »
Sorry if this has been answered somewhere already, but I tried looking around a bit with no luck...
All I could find was a winter league schedule. Is there anything different going on around the area now that our evenings are a little longer? I will be moving to Olathe in less than 2 weeks from Georgia and am dying for some league action.

Barter Town / Re: Cheap Disc Golf Baskets!!! $69.99

For the price, these are actually pretty darn good for practice... An additional set of inner chains cost me less than $20. I leave mine outside all the time and is showing minimal wear after well over a year.
