Blue Valley / Re: Big Blue Pin Placements
« on: July 16, 2014, 08:28:08 PM »
I moved #9 to it's short setting as well as #18. I plan on moving #4 to long #7 and #6 to its short placement tomorrow. Also, #17 will be getting a replacement short setting.

I haven't given up on those planters - at least they looked good for the Wide Open. Jack, do you know the deal with the pin placement for #10 that is kind of in #1's fairway? It looks like a worthless placement and I would like to dig it up.

Hey Jack, something you possibly could help with is getting a new #13 for the top of 13's tee sign and new maps for ALL of the signs.
BTW, the majority of my frustration was due to the thievery of the plants, it really bothered me.

Frustration has started to set in. Nobody showed up to help, again. Here goes a little rant. We are all playing a game for free - in comparison our ball golf friends are paying at least $40 per outing to play the same game. If every one of our club members put in two hours a month at a workday our courses would be perfect.
I am a little POed right now. Some POS stole all of the plants and prairie grass that I planted in the planters at the parking lot last month.
O.K. rant over.
I dug up the bent setting on #1 and #17, and dug up and straightened short #6. Short #17 needs to be reset and I would like to put a new placement in the valley of #13. Can anybody help me?

I will be having a workday on July 12th at 9:00 a.m. We will be resetting short #6 and short #17, and also (possibly) be installing a new setting in the other end of  #11's valley. Some of the short baskets will be reinstalled at this time also. Oh yeah, I think #1 has a bent setting that needs to be dug out if we have the time/man power. Please plan on coming to help as these modifications will allow me to shorten the course and make it more playable/enjoyable during these hot summer months.

The kids league will be taking a week off for the 4th of July holiday. We will be going east to the beginners league out at P-Hill the following week. Thanks to CD for coming out last week and giving some instruction and FREE plastic to some of the "kids".

Kids league this Thursday night (6/26). We will be there from 5:30 til 6:30ish. Bring the kids and get some tips (I think CD is coming out). Remember to stop by DGW to get the kids league deal.

If there is a large turnout I would keep track of things and have a league. Or we could keep it casual and just play.

It will be fixed before the WO.

The league will happen. I think Matt runs the league at Cliff on Mondays - so I assume he will run it at BV tonight.

If anybody wanted to put some time in at BV this week let me know. I am waiting till P&R mows and then I am going to hit some of the trees that they miss with the weed eater on Thurs-Fri. BV could use a little help for the WO - you could be that help!

I'm not running the league - but I will be out there with a bunch of Boulevard Wheats and plastic bags for anybody who wants to pick up any trash as they play.

Yes, I will be out there at 7:30 or a little before. If we picked up trash as we played - it would sure help the course a lot (the course is a little trashy as of late) I would also like to do some minor tree manicuring as we play, so bring a set of loppers.
