The league will happen. I think Matt runs the league at Cliff on Mondays - so I assume he will run it at BV tonight.

If anybody wanted to put some time in at BV this week let me know. I am waiting till P&R mows and then I am going to hit some of the trees that they miss with the weed eater on Thurs-Fri. BV could use a little help for the WO - you could be that help!

I'm not running the league - but I will be out there with a bunch of Boulevard Wheats and plastic bags for anybody who wants to pick up any trash as they play.

Yes, I will be out there at 7:30 or a little before. If we picked up trash as we played - it would sure help the course a lot (the course is a little trashy as of late) I would also like to do some minor tree manicuring as we play, so bring a set of loppers.

If every golfer picked up ONE piece of trash every rd. they played - our courses would be trash free.

If you have kids bring them out tomorrow night for the first week of the kids league. The weather looks like it is going to cooperate and it should be a good time.

I'd like to play a round and pick up any trash as we play. As far as what I would like to do at this workday- we need to remove the remaining inner course baskets, empty trash bins, weed eat fairway trees, trim any low hanging branches - generally just  course beautification. If we worked from say 9 - 11 or 12 that should leave time to play a rd. + there is non workday stuff that needs to be done like painting the OB lines on the streets/sidewalk, painting the 3 meter lines around the baskets, hanging the mando sign, and cleaning up the water park/parking lot. Plenty of stuff to do if anybody wants to come help - please do! Come help and the club will buy your lunch.

It looked real nice out there for the Team Challenge, but like Ben said only the fairways are mowed. Half of the inner course baskets have been pulled. Eight has been moved to the short setting and 18 is in the long placement. - have fun.

I would say a trimmer and a lopper would be essential tools. I would like to walk the fairways and continue to clean the fairway trees of saplings, empty trash bins, pick up trash and remove downed branches. See ya out there.

Bill, I am so sorry for the delay. I got called into work (I work nights) to cover a coworkers shift. I will be there next week for sure. I hope this delay doesn't deter you from coming next week.

I'm sorry for the last minute notice but I need to postpone the start date to Thursday June 12th at 5:30. I hope to see people come out with the kids and get involved.

I wanted to put out a reminder to all east side do-gooders there will be a Wide Open Workday next Saturday and then again the following  Saturday. These days will be the last chance to help Blue Valley look its best for the WO. Saturday June 7th - nine to noon - be there or be square!

This will be a six week scheduled kids league. Thursdays from 5:30 to 6:30. June 5, 12, 27 and July 10, 17, 24. Steve Dresser and I will both be out with our kids for all six weeks. This is a no-cost, all fun league. Kids of all ages are welcome but no drop-offs are allowed (you have to stay with your kid/s). DGW has donated  5$ off coupons to start the kids out with their own discs. We will see how things go and adjust as necessary but I see this as as starting out with 15- 20 minutes of instruction then playing the short 9 holes at baby blue. Super little kids (4-5) can learn how to putt at the warm up basket before moving on to the course. If your a dad with some coaching experience bring your kids and come out and help or just play (just come out). I hope to see you guys out there at Blue Valley Park "The best course in town."
