Everything is still set long (from the BBM), but I am going to move everything short - starting tomorrow.

FTL at BV would be great! I will have a cooler FULL of beer for after the round. I will set everything short and we can play the BIG boy course.

That's what I'm trying to do SteelerDoug. There was actually a bunch of people playing out their today - in shorts/tshirts, 65  degrees in December (oh yeah).

Every hole at Blue Valley now has a long and a short setting. 4, 10, and 15 were set today and will be playable on Friday. There are some really cool places to put additional settings, a par 4 on hole 3 - way up on the hill that overlooks the lake. Maybe shorter settings for both 17 and 18? I would like to put a few more pin placements out there - maybe 5 total, and then get some new maps/signs made. Does anybody have any ideas?

I put in two new placements today. A short placement for 12 and another on 13. I also dug short placements on 4, 10 and 15, I will plant those tomorrow. The course will be going from all long to all short starting this Friday.

Thanks Jack, that was nice and much appreciated.
I was out there yesterday, playing and picking up trash, It looks better now. P&R came out and picked up all of the little white bags of trash by the road (those were ALL mine) and a huge brush pile that Kujo, Jim and I created on #7. P&R was supposed to do it last week but just didn't get to it.
I would not want gates at BV - mainly because it wouldn't help (hardly) at all. Most of the trash at BV is from people using the park and not cleaning up after themselves. They drink beer/have sex and throw the bottles/condoms out of the car window  over by the short basket at 7 and 13/14. That is different than the dumping of construction waste down the side of a steep hill like at Cliff.
I have had that entire park trash free only to come back a week later to see more trash. So I try to focus my limited (volunteer) time to adding new pin placements and trying to beat back the honeysuckle - and pick up trash as I play.
It is really cool to have tourneys out there as they bring in so many players who would not play a casual rd. at BV. I hope Rob does this next year and makes a tourney stamped discs.

It was pretty trashy out there, especially on the back 9 and the parking lot (Darn it). I typically play a loop of 2 through 9 twice - so that part was clean. SteelerDoug, I hope you will come out to help with this years Little Blue River Cleanup. It would be great to have all disc golfers at the Blue Valley site so we don't use up the non DG volunteers.
It was great to have such a large turnout on such a cold/windy day in late Nov. All of those players added a lot of energy to the course. I look  forward to Rob having more tourneys out at BV.

Thanks go out to Kujo and Jim K. We cleared the valley at hole #7 so the long placement can be used for The Big Blue Monster tournament. t was a ton of work clearing up that placement and Kujo stayed till it was done - then even helped move some baskets! We put in 3.5 hours each and accomplished a lot. Hope to see everybody out next Saturday.

Workday this Saturday 11/14 from 10-12. Meet at hole #7. Bring tools if you got 'em.

You guys need to toughen up if your scared of the "fellas" out at BlueValley. JK Anyways, I was getting ready for the tournament out @ BV today. I moved about half of the baskets to their long positions and cleared some brush by Long #18 - There is still more to do if anybody would like to help. I will have a short workday this Sat 11/14 from 10:00 a.m. till noon. Please meet at the #7 basket. Bring hand tools if you have them, but don't worry if you're tool less - I can still use you. This will be a real fun tourney - come out and help get ready.

We could use Blue Valley and Swope for two of the courses to be used for the "event happening on this date."

I went to the Indep. DG Day last year and enjoyed playing a cleaned up W.Yates. But I wonder what came of our show of support for DG in Independence. I know John and Jordan were gung ho about this potential course, but I haven't heard about it in almost a year. What's up?

Sorry to hear that Kujo. Do you need anything?
Thanks to Rob for going out of his way and retrieving my bag so quickly.
