General Banter / Sprint Campus 2 DG baskets?
« on: July 18, 2005, 10:19:15 am »
Does anyone know what those where for?  Yesterday after leaving Town Center Plaza my wife noticed a basket just west of Nall in some tall prarie grass.  So being the obsessed nut I have become, I spent 20 mins driving around the campus trying to find a sign or more baskets.  My only other discovery was one more basket just North of 119th, also in knee high prarie grass.

Was there more at one time?

Winter Leagues / Morning Patrol 7.15.05 - Water Works
« on: July 15, 2005, 12:20:59 pm »
Water Works park was the host for today's Morning Patrol.  4 particpants showed up to sweat buckets on a humid morning north of the River.  Tee off was about 8:15 am temperature had already reached 86°, not much of a breeze to speak about at all.

Dennis - 62
Jim - 65
Christian - 67
Tim - 77

For anyone looking for a good way to start your weekend out come join us.  It's great to get out on while the Morning dew is still on the grass, and 85° beats afternoons of 97° anytime.

Next week we'll be at Water Works park as we'll be having a out of State guest play along.  So if you can make it come!

General Banter / Doubles/Mixed Doubles Interest?
« on: July 13, 2005, 11:34:52 pm »
I was talking w/ Lynn at DGW last friday, and she mentioned how neat it would be to have a mixed doubles league.  I know my wife would be for it, and that would be good because then I could play league 2x's a week :D.

So has there or was there ever an interest in something like this?  Even if it was a thing where we only played every other week.  What day of the week would be the best?

Just and idea, I know it would be a way to introduce more wives, girlfriends, daughters, friends, to the game.
